There are a lot of memorable tracks from many video games, but I'm to lazy to list them all right now.

Halo's music, some of the best I've heard. Even if the game was mediocre, the music was amazing.

It may not count, but the music from Star Wars games. Sure, they take music from the movies, but thats a good thing.

The Guilty Gear series has featured some of the greatest hard rock and metal music in any game.

Guilty Gear was a welcome change fom the midi crap that 90% of fighters were shoveling at us that and daisuke is seriously over gratuitous with guitar riffs which is fucking awsome in such a fast paced game.

"The Decisive Battle" from Final Fantasy 6, screw "One-Winged Angel!" Dear GOD do I get pumped whenever I hear that theme, if any song deserves to get a badass remix it's that.

Kefka's theme from FF6 still sends shivers down my spine and is the best villain theme ever conceived. It perfectly reflects the villain and even tells a story as the progression of the music reflects upon kefkas rise to glory. Starts off silly and annoying, then grows into a sinister and menacing destructive force, inspiring fear and apathy, ending with a hint of nihilism before repeating. It's perfect in every way, and for a 16 bit song, it still does the damn job.

The Mario Theme of course.
ONE WINGED ANGEL!
A lot of the music from Sonic Adventure 2. (Weird, I know.)
Simple and Clean, the instrumental of it.

I don't know how to upload videos so I'll just say... Halo theme is simply amazing.
But of course I'm Vrex so praising something to do with Halo is hardly unique for me so let's give some other games a mention as well.

Gears of War 2, say what you want but the music really does portray epicness.
Mass Effect
Bioshock, the old hits from the thirties helped give the game personality.
Portal: Still Alive
Otogi: Myth of Demons, wonderful Japanese music tracks.

But still Halo wins this one.

EDIT: I forgot, Tetris music!!!!

This, but Ivan Ether's remix which has sadly been taken off of NG, is even better

If it isn't showing up it's the Venus Lighthouse theme from GS

The soundtrack to American McGees Alice was quite different and memorable in my opinion.

Katamari Damacy also, I love those soundtracks to bits.
