Most memorable soundtrack from a game?

Kirby, Legend of Zelda, Mario, Donkey Kong... most Nintendo stuff has awesome music.
Ratchet and Clank has cool music too

No one particular song sticks out, but the soundtrack as a whole was highly memorable and unique for American McGee's Alice. Probably one of the most twisted soundtrack I've heard in a game, and as such yeah... it's memorable. Certainly can't think of another game with a soundtrack anything like it! Apparently it was done by a guy named Chris Vrenna who was in Nine in Nails for a time and is now in Marilyn Manson's band, a fact I find completely unsurprising considering the tone of this games soundtrack, but neat nonetheless.

C&C: Red Alert 1 and Wipeout Fusion. I remember hooking a mini-disc recorder up to Wipeout Fusion and recording it on a mini-disc so I could listen to it when I went out!

Agreed, but also Megaman 3 and Megaman X. They're both just as kickass as 2, with the exception of:

FF VIII for me. FF VII also has a great soundtrack though, so does Deus Ex and EVE(The best aspect of that game imo).

Just the music in at the bar in Beyond Good and Evil. Gets stuck in my head all the time.

The start of BGaE, with the hero meditating on the side of the cliff with the slightly weird, oriental sort of music was pretty memorable for me somehow.

OT: Ask anyone and they will say Halo's music is great, which it is.
However I thought it was only good the first time, Halo 1's ending level, then they just over did it, again and again and again.
Although, personally I dislike the fact they replaced the original music for ODST with out of place jazz stuff even more than the Halo theme being beaten to death.

I Recently got Fallout 3, and the title screen music along with the images of power armoured soldiers standing on piles of corpses triumpantly waving american flags, uncle sam recruitment posters, WWIII themed kids halloween costumes and the flyers advertising the Vaults and the posters showing the everyday 50's style suburbia of the 2070's, is just awesome.

Most Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts music is pretty nice to listen to, but if I had to pick an absolute favourite, the soundtrack from FFVI would be my favourite. It's got so much variety, I love it.

Any Touhou soundtrack. Every Touhou soundtrack. Hell, Touhou. I have every piece from every game, I've listened to each of them over and over again, enjoying them every time, have them all stuck in my head and can recite almost all of them from memory (which in restrospect is really pathetic, but I stopped caring some time ago). The absolute most memorable however is a tie between Perfect Cherry Blossom and Undefined Fantastic Object, if only for their spectacular final boss themes (I don't know how to imbed videos ;_

I'd like to say Kingdom Hearts, but if I'd have to say one theme song so infectious that it's stayed with me for my whole life, since that fateful day I played that game, is the theme song for Theme Park World.
