Surprisingly, search bar approved.

So, today was the day before Halloween weekend, which meant that the seniors at my high school (and only the seniors) dressed up in their Halloween costumes for all the underclassmen to see, and their were some quite good ones. One group of boys dressed up in rather well made gillie suits, another group was made up of one tree and several lumberjacks and tree huggers. But one group stood out from the rest (to me at least): A group of girls cosplaying as the cast of Sailor Moon. It was, quite simply, the most awesome thing I have ever seen in all my years of going to school, the best part was that their costumes were absolutely perfect, and incredibly detailed, and upon seeing them I had an awesome nostalgia rush that brought me back to the days of when I was a little 5 year old Sailor Moon loving boy (especially since I kinda always had a crush on Sailor Mars).

Tl;dr- Some senior girls at my school cosplayed as the cast of Sailor Moon, and it was nostalgic and stuff, thus inspiring this thread.

So, how about you, what's the most nostalgic thing you've ever done/experienced?

also, I am now an offical fan of mario, as the version of SMW I played is the one bundled with the SNES remakes of the NES SMB games. (all-stars, incase you didn't know.)

I was getting ready to move, and I saw a big box full of my old Thomas the Tank Engine stuff. And me and my brother sat down for a minute. We actually picked them up and tried to remember the names of each one. We remembered all the time we spent playing with them. And then we gave them away.

Edit:
Here's another one. Me and my brother were at this place for a sleep-over. One of the guys brought his old SNES (This is when the Wii has been out for a while), and one of the games he brought was Super Mario RPG Legend of the Seven Stars. So we decided to start playing it.

Me and my brother were both surprised as to just how much of the game we remembered. And we remembered old stories about us playing it, like how we spent days trying to beat Mack before my brother realized he had a lightning weakness, or how we had to ask our cousin how to get Mallow's first weapon.

Good times had by all, memories remembered, and I knew what game I really wanted for the Nintendo Shop Channel.

Watching episodes of Megas XLR. That show was a big part of my childhood, in addition to being funny as hell.

I love nostalgia moments and I have a few of them every now and then. Some of my favourites include looking through my books and finding things such as my Thomas the Tank Engine books and Pokemon books. Old movies are good too, especially Mary Poppins, Bedknobs and Broomsticks and The Sound of Music. Recently my dad wanted to watch old cartoon openings on youtube so me and him just watched a whole bunch for ages, Astro Boy was one of the best as well as a show I used to watch every afternoon after school. I could still sing along to the old intro music!

I don't have anything that really triggers a nostalgia rush for me. The only thing close was hearing the Pokemon Gold Music brought back in Heartgold. =(

Don't know if this counts as a thread necro since it only died a few days ago, but it saves making a repeat thread so whatever.

The other day I was posting in a thread about a "Best Anime Intro", and mentioned I usually prefer Western intros and used the Chip n' Dale: Rescue Rangers theme as an example. I never watched it much myself, but after I posted I noticed there were a few things in the related videos of the Rescue Rangers theme I remembered.
After going through a few things I remembered a little bit, like the Ghostbusters cartoon, I stumbled across...
This. Just effin' this.
Nostalgia slapped me across the back of the head like a Holy Mackerel [http://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Holy_mackeral]. I suddenly remembered a load of stuff about the show and even remembered part of a school day that I came home from to watch this.
Then I got really sad that I'm not 9 anymore...

Playing the first three Spyro the Dragon games at a friend's house a few months ago. That was the first game series that I was totally addicted to, spending entire days getting that purple dragon his gems. Felt good to play again.

Whenever I hear the original Pokemon theme music I always think back to my childhood, collecting the cards. I still make a point of playing Pokemon red and blue at least once a year because I had such fun times playing that game as a kid :) good times.

Probably when I was looking for thing so I check in my dad garage and I look through at my old toys. Sure the toys were all nostalgic but the toy that is the most nostalgia toy is my Grimlock toy (from Transformer G1).

I was at an anime convention when at a panel LittleKuriboh and Team Four Star started signing Don't Stop Believing by Journey. Back in high school my school would sing that at every assembly. Also they forgot the words at the same part my school did and just mumbled half way though it.

I would say any image or sound of the first-party N64 games, such as Ocarina of Time, Super Mario 64, Donkey Kong Adventure, Banjo Kazooie, and Star Fox, or any music or image from the classic Pokemon games makes me nostalgia a huge load of nostalgia.

Also, the Pokemon TV show, Yu Gi Oh!, and... DRAGON BALL Z! almost make me nostalgia as hard.
