Amanda Palmer (one of the most incredible live acts I've ever seen)

The Dresden Dolls (Amanda Palmer being a former member of this band)

Prima Donna (the most fantabulous punky mix of a million old rock songs)

Goddamn I miss those guys - saw them perform once, and only got hold of two of their .mp3 files. Can't find their album anywhere (Brillianteen).

Well, that sure is a coincidence. I just had a tuba quartet come to my school and play a Mr.Bungle song. No idea what it was called, but very very strange.
OT: I honestly have no answer. My friends tell me everything I listen to is unheard of. Probably the Dead Milkmen or Anamanaguchi.

The Sess.

A local San Diego, CA, USA band that has since broken up. They fused modern indie rock with late sixties rock and roll and it was freaking awesome stuff. If you feel so inclinded to look them up on Myspace then I would highly encourage you to do so.

I always struggle to find other Art Brut fans. This might be because they aren't very good, but I do have a soft spot for them (especially live).

I can't believe I never posted on this before.

OK, the most well known band on my piePod is Big Black, and who here has heard of them? No? I thought not, says a lot about my music taste.

If you haven't heard them before, heres a vid, they're very good.

I'm not even going to bother with the most obscure stuff, there is no chance anyone is going to get it.
Songs about fucking is better.

Well... I know very few people who have heard of these
-Iced Earth (it's fairly common now, but a few years ago I was the only one in my group who'd heard of them)
-Sonata Arctica
-Blind Guardian
-The Black Mages ( I am such a nerd)

That's about it. Not nearly as obscure as some of the previous posts.

The Dolls and Amanda Palmer are two of my favourite acts ^ - ^

(And sorry if I'm mistaken, but I was under the impression she's still a member of The Dresden Dolls, they're merely on hiatus?)

I don't have that many obscure bands in my collection, which makes me feel a bit dirty...erm...Tegan & Sara? None of my friends know who they are, so they're kind of obscure for where I live.
