Try your best and see if anyone guesses and this excludes things that are not widely accessible like personal jokes. Here is mine "In the end we all choose ourselves and you dont know whats wrong or right. We are alone and we have to chose there is no other way."the quote isnt word for word but it goes like that and its from a book

'Watermelon.. Or, like a panda with a mean face, or like sandals with pressure points drawn on them, or the smell of a blackboard eraser, or a Sunday morning where you wake up and it's raining. Well, I like him more than hard bread.'
...you just caused me to re-watch the first episode of FLCL just to make sure I was right... always enjoyable, thanks.

"YES, commander Mackara!"

Bonus points if you can find a video clip of the series

Double Bonus if you can explain the link to it between Highlander, Shaun of the Dead, Wayne's World and Flash Gordon.

Aw, man. The very post after mine and someone got it. Okay, time for another methinks.

'If we all reacted the same way, we'd be predictable, and there's always more than one way to view a situation. What's true for the group is also true for the individual. It's simple: overspecialize, and you breed in weakness. It's slow death.'

man... that era is my bread and butter in anime... Ghost in the Shell. First movie... I need to rewatch it to remember when Maj. Kusinagi said that... but avoiding overspecialization has been part of my core personal values since I first watched that movie in high school.
**edit** man, beaten to the punch. Guess I shouldn't have started up the second episode of FLCL...

one of my own:

"...What the hell would I be doin' in the bathroom while you're in the bathroom?"

"X...Emulsified." (where X is the name of any particular person at that point)

I reckon there will be someone who gets it.

Special Forces:
Morgan, AJ, Hellmet
Little Yin, Dalia, Clawz

Bonus marks are awarded if you can explain its links to Star Wars and 9/11.

"But as the Colonel said, if you want that pardon and live to hold it, hold it in your hand and walk free, then you will listen to what I say, and do exactly what I told you to do. If just one of you messes up, I will kill you all."

This was after a semi-long rant of saying how badass the speaker was

Arrrrrrgh...it seems familiar. Is it a comedy?

"I'm sorry for calling you an inanimate object. I was upset."

I didn't think this was an obscure reference until I quoted this line recently and confused EVERYONE. If you get this, you will restore my faith in humanity (or possibly just Google, if you cheat).

It's unclear whether the movie takes itself seriously.
