Heh, if I'm thinking of the right thing then yeah, that guy is hard as nails. And even if he does get into trouble, he can just teleport out.

People who lag but that special kind of lag that makes them skip out of your shots but have dead aim every time if that applies

Yea not to mention if he gets in trouble he can turn into the Nightbringer for a couple of minutes where he has even MORE defense, attack, and health for a minute and when he comes out of it, he does so with full health.not to mention his movement speed with the right artifacts is off the charts and his melee attacks just devastate even the most armored units. A necron lord can take out a daemon prince alone.

Overpowered: Force lightning in The Force Unleashed. Seriously, you don't even need your lightsaber, just shock them to death with the power of regenerating force.

Underpowered: The plasma pistol in Halo 2. The game even tells you that it's ridiculous to count it as a real gun.

But I'd like to see ONE game someday that appropriately makes the Desert Eagle a useless handcannon that's more likely to injure yourself than the opponent.
The Deagle in MW2 is EASILY the worst secondary weapon in the game. It has so much recoil that it's completely useless at any range beyond 10 feet, and doesn't have any more power than the other handguns.

My vote for most overpowered thing is a tie between Commando and Danger Close in MW2. Both perks drive me up the fucking wall, and there's absolutely nothing you can do against either of them.

Melee - Hitting someone in the face doesn't kill them and it probably wont knock them out either - is it "That" hard to let me punch someone- stagger them , then shoot them [thank you AVP]. Lot's of games are responsible for this, and that includes mw2 It would SERIOUSLY depend where you stabbed someone to kill them and it certainly wouldn't be instant.
Well, of course it wouldn't be an instant kill in real life, but nobody's claiming it would be. It's there to fill the game play purposes of a good, close range hold out, nothing more.

Reported. Ad hominem attacks are bad, ok? And besides, discussion on a discussion board is a good thing.

I would say the most broken/exploitable thing in a game that comes to mind is the gambling skill in Fallout 1 and 2. You get luck at 7, get the gambling skill up yo at least 40. Go into a casino, hold down the highest bet button, leave, come back, look at the ridiculous amount of money that can buy all the books(skill boosters) you could possibly want.

The "I-forget-the-name-flipping-blade-drop-attack" from Prototype. The blade's almost broken on its own (which is sort of the point- does huge damage, especially against squishy targets), but the aerial flip thing is basically an instant kill on anything but the Leader Hunters... which end up about weak enough to eat. It does make the game really funny when the military keeps sending tanks after this guy who's literally cutting them in half with a single attack.

Underpowered- from the same game, the Body Surf. It lets you kick a human-sized enemy, grind them into the ground for a while, and then kick off, sending them flying. It sounds good, and supposedly does a lot of damage, but it's impossible to tell, since literally any attack will kill humans in a single hit. You can kill people by running past them in armor. You don't need a complicated attack like this. (It does become hilarious when you combine it with Musclemass, which means the kick at the end of the attack makes the fellow explode.)

the improved gravity gun makes half life 2 laugably easy, although that might be entirely or partially intended.

in morrowind you could create your own spells allowing for fireballs with enourmess AoE while you yourself where immune to fire. Self crafting of abilities = OP
You know that a spell with big AoE and high damage would need you to have 100 intelligence/willpower and be near level 80 to be able to cast it once and be lucky enough for it to succeed

One thing that comes to mind for me that I know I won't get ninja'd on.

The Seculorum from Soulbringer was so broken. It was an implementation to show you how balanced you were in using the five elements but if you got so out of balance with one element your spells would do more damage and you would become more resistant to the point of absorption and there was a fire spell called Magma that put a big pool of lava on the ground and anything in it took fire damage every second for about a minute, so they gave you an ultra strong murder spell, and it was a healing spell.
