I'm gonna need more flame shields...
The Dark Knight, Juno, Casino, Blood Diamond.
The Dark Knight just didn't work for me because Batman was way too underdeveloped in order to focus on the Joker and Two-face. Plus there were plot-holes and some genuinely lame cinematography. The atmosphere felt tacked-on too.
Juno simply tried too hard. The characters were not believable and it generally felt forced.
Casino was way too profane and violent. I can take both, but this movie piled it on so heavily it wasn't even enjoyable to me. In fact, it seems downright goofy to me.
Blood Diamond was good, but it couldn't decide whether it wanted to be an action film or a political-ish film that tackled issues. Many of the dialogue scenes felt pointless, and some scenes were just stupid (an untrained militia effortlessly defeating soldiers? I'm sorry, no!)
