Agreed, Jiminy is pretty pointless in all three of the games which I know he's in (i.e. Kingdom Hearts, Chain of Memories and KH2), although I'm glad that they put the journal in, I need something to tell me what to do for that elusive 100% completion, shy of a strategy guide.

Also, I'm going to throw in both Nero, from the DMC series for being a rehash of an existing character, and whats-his-name, Altair's descendant from Assassin's Creed, for adding sci-fi to a perfectly good ye olde worlde Crusader-slaying game.

I think a lot of people are confusing pointless with annoying.

Example: Navi is annoying, so is Tingle, but they do provide useful info and whatnot. Pointless, however, would be more like the stupid owl whose only purpose is to provide exposition for you to skip through.

Ashley Williams and Liara T'Soni from Mass Effect. Ash is a xenomorphic ***** and is the same class thta I am.(don't need two solders .) and Liara because she's just so damn bland and useless. Just give me Kaidan and Wrex and I'll be fine.

Anyway, Ashley says funny psychotic things like how good the staircases in Citadel are for defensive purposes. Why would you play a soldier and have Mr. Milquetoast Alenko along with you instead? .

I kept Ashley around for the sole purpose of looking at her ass when I waited for my shields to regenerate. Wrex was the shit.

I did that with Liara and regretted it as soon as the sex scene came along... I just couldn't stop thinking of the puppet sex scene from Team America, the whole thing felt was about as erotic as a brick to the face (Mass Effect sex scene that is, the Team America one was obviously sexy as hell).
