I would say that one is a close second to Get Some Grub, from the same game... I've combed every single square inch of that stupid freakin' cave complex, and I'm still missing TEN of those little wormy bastards... And you usually can only do it in one play-through, because if you do it again, how the hell are you supposed to know which ones you've already squished, or shot, or zero-point energy manipulated?Skorpyo said:Well, how about "Rocket Man" from Episode 2?
Haul the friggin' garden gnome around the WHOLE game and send him into space with the rocket. I didn't even have CLOSE to enough patience for it.
If I hadn't already given up on Infinite Undiscovery because of that damn bat & snake door, that would have certainly cured any interest I initially had in getting a perfect gamerscore.Blemontea said:How about Infinite undiscovery 1g achievment... beat the game on normal mode, beat the game on hard mode, beat the game on impossible mode, and beat the Final Boss on impossible.... and its all for 1G! just 1G! the G for beating the game on normal is 99G so basically they are torturing OCD's with uneven gamerscore....
Huh... I... actually have it.imahobbit4062 said:And Prototype, finish the game without dying. It's impossible because of the fucking Hunters.
Oh yeah, the Super Meat Boy ones are absolutely sadistic; in retrospect, I should've included those.Rossmallo said:The one you get on Super Meat Boy for unlocking The Kid. Holy shit.
I actually enjoyed that achievement cause it required teamwork.TheYellowCellPhone said:I know Little Rocket Man has been mentioned, but what about Guardin' Gnome (Left 4 Dead 2)?
Pissed me off to carry the gnome that far.
I was going to say that one too, but I got that one just the other day quite easily. I'm thinking about trying it out on difficult setting next time. I think the random acheivements like "This is a secret achievement" and that neighbourhood watch one when you gotta destroy all striders before they take out any building is rediculous. I managed to save the saw mill but then when there are a bunch of them running around with hunters everywhere it's really hard to get there and stop them in time.subject_87 said:My vote is for HL2: Episode 1's 'The One Free Bullet'. You only get to fire one bullet throughout the entire game, to knock off a padlock (Rockets, crossbow bolts, grenades, energy balls, physics objects, etc. are fine though). Runner up is 'Little Rocket Man', from HL2: Episode 2, where you must carry a garden gnome through the entire game and deposit it in the missile at the end.
There's a pattern of which ones comes at which times and it took me so many times to learn it and which path to take to get to the ones quick enough. Takes awhile, but after the first 5, it gets super easy. Also, just run over the hunters, they should've gotten out of the way.Timmaaaah said:I was going to say that one too, but I got that one just the other day quite easily.
