but by that logic he could not be more powerful than them thus meaning he would not hold the title of most powerful, nobody could since there would be more than one

Okay, I suppose that's true considering God as a character in His work.

However, considering the "God" answer has been used for this sort of question long before either Goku or Chuck Norris, and I've heard the God answer more often through my lifetime, usually by extremely smug theists (usually Christians), you'll understand why it wouldn't sit well at any rate.

He also created the Void into which Morgoth was finally imprisoned. You mess with him, He also separated Valinor from the physical world at the end of the second age. Anyone that can move continents between dimensions automatically wins.

I admit defeat. Eru Iluvatar wins indeed. But Morgoth is still badass.
