For me, it's most memorably the film Hancock, where every plot twist was forecast ten minutes before.

What do you guys reckon is the most predictable thing you've watched?

Whiteout.
I called the old white dude as the villain ten minutes in. Having such a blatant "bad guy" archetype with a pointed at quirk ruined the suspense. And it's supposed to be a suspense thriller.
I wanted to turn it off from the moment Kate Beckinsale had her entirely pointless intro shower-and-panty scene.

Also, a fair amount of police procedural shows. I've watched a fair amount of them and I sorta recognize formulas. Especially in TV. If a kid or wife of an initial suspect gets more than five lines, it's almost always them.

Shutter Island.

Seriously, they telegraphed that whole damn thing.
Agreed, but for me, it was with the book. I really can't blame the movie because it was even more obvious in the book.

OT: Every single M. Night Shyamalan movie.

Resident Evil 5. I knew it was Jill behind the mask from the very early clues they gave us, but the rest of the plot had some neat surprises here and there, though.

God, I played way too much of that game...

The lightning thief, since I know quite a few things about greek mythology. I saw everything coming a mile away.

You mean the movie? Only read the books - those were pretty predictable but I'm a sucker for Greek mythology so still enjoyed them!

This movie was so predictable, which is sad considering the movies in their respective stories are actually a little less predictable than you would expect.

Seriously, Dollman was so original, the only thing predictable about it was that it had a beginning and an end, and it was epic as hell.

Almost every horror movie I've watched.

They are seem to be either slasher films, survival-horror films, or ones where someone gets kidnapped, they find them, and then it shows something to hint that the kidnapper is still lurking.

The only movie that wasn't predictable for me was 2001 Maniacs.

Shutter Island.

I see i've been beaten to the punch on that one.

The most predictable film i've ever seen in my life.

Every sports movie has the same premise:

Introduce the character, maybe show them as a child or what their family did or something similar.
Have them work hard to get on the team, maybe fail a few times, make it.
When on team, have a big event come up.
Have main character quit the sport before main event.
Main character decides to rejoin after pep talk from someone, such as relatives or team members or coach or self discovery.
Have them come to event, usually at the last minute.
Have character's team win this event (usually) by a few points.
Heroic victory, maybe show the character's love interest, everyone applauding for main character, etc.

It's a very good movie, but like everybody else here, I predicted the "twist" from the moment I saw the first trailer in the cinemas. Things might not be as they seem in a mental asylum? Who could have guessed that?

Anyway... my complaint is not with Shutter Island but Eagle Eye.

A movie about:

A sentient computer who thinks it knows what's best for everyone and attempts to wrest control from human beings by murder where necessary.
Also known as I, Robot v1.5
Are you fucking kidding me? Fuck you movie.

Battle LA. Every single plot point was incredibly obvious. I still loved the movie, action cliches and all.

Freaking The Hangover: Part 2. Seriously, it was the same EXACT movie as the first one except in a different location. I didn't laugh once because the jokes were all used in the first movie where they WERE funny.

No! It was very predicatable, but I don't think it was trying THAT hard to be unpredictable. Where the movie was good was the execution, and in that regard it is incredible.
