I also have a very vague feeling of beating last ninja the original..

In all honesty I don't have one.

Call me a freak of nature but I never really feel any sense of accomplishment when I play or finish games. Even when I do something hard, rather than think:
"yeah I finally did it I feel hapy now", I just think
"Alright what else is there to do"

This sort of outlook is probably unhealthy and depressing especially since how often I play games but it's just part of my nature.

I was playing Rome total war on medium
(I know hard core gaming shit *cough* playing with arcade style battles aswell *cough...cough*)

The following tale happened:

As germania, i bribed a Briton general near Trier, nothing unusual, he only had 15 men. However my turn ended and the britons attacked him on his own with one unit of Warband skirmishers and just ordinary warband soldiers.

My first tactic was to take out the skirmishers, so i charged straight into them and managed to break them before losing any men. By then though the unit of warband started to circle around me and i started to take casualties. I ordered my general out of the fray and ran from the pursueing barbarians. Suddenly i ordered my general to rally his 14 comrades and charge into the pursueing mob, both forces crashed into each other in a messy tangle of man and horse. The enemy lost a good deal of men(about 13 out of 61) but my general's bodyguards were being cut down fast. So i ordered the unit to untangle and run once again. By now my unit only contained 9 men. I used the same tactic again and my opponent lost about 13 men again. By now the battle was frantic, 9 Horsemen vs 40-35 spearmen.

My loses were on the rise, the enemy once again surrounded my horsemen completely and it was too late to untangle them all, 4 Horsemen vs 40 - 35 spearmen. Defeat seemed inevitable. (Still hadnt lost my general btw :) )

My 4 horsemen ran with the spearmen pursueing close behind. And i charged in and out of their ranks severely reducing their numbers, i lost only one man and the enemy lost about 20. This time i made the remainder of my general's unit run all the way across the map, with the spearmen marching after them.

Eventually the spearmen caught up, and i made my general give out one more rallying cry before charging heroically into the enemy. The force of the charge killed all my horsemen except my general...the enemy was almost unscathed...so with defeat looming over me, i made my general charge in and out of the spearmen, each charge took out 2-4 spearmen at a time.
And my general lived through the fighting...the spear warband broke once only 5 of them remained, my general pursued the running men and cut each of them down...

The victory screen popped up and i felt like a hero...i steel feel like that today :)

(Sorry about the looooooooooooooooooong post)

Joint Ops: Typhoon Rising (PC)
150 Man Server
Map - Desert type with river running down the middle with a shanty town.

My brother and his friend were watching me play, I started a round and I jumped in a buggy and drove off toward the enemy at breakneck speed.

I thought *I can see a jump ahead that'll be cool* and aimed toward it only realising mid-air that it was infact a broken bridge over a wide wide river instead of a jump over nice flat land. The buggy was rather wet -with a few bullet holes as the shanty town nearby was in enemy hands- and I had to bail out.

I ran up a hill in front of me under fire when I exited the river and took 2 guys out with my auto-rifle just in time to see a 4 man helocopter moving past me about 200m to the right in the opposite direction. I lined up about 20-30m in front of its path and squeezed off a rocket from my AT weapon (non-homing) and my heart soared as I saw them both heading towards each other and explode in a ball of fire.

I was gunned down about 5 secs later but that has stuck with me for about 8 years i think!

The first time I beat the first colossus in Shadow of the Colossus. My hands were sore and sweaty from gripping the controller so hard, finally being able to breathe since I holding my breath for the most of it. An epic sigh of relief as the beat falls to the earth.... I have never felt so triumphant.

Beating F.E.A.R. without dying was a *****. It didn't give me the achievement until after the looooooooong credits, so I was in incredibly tense anticipation...

Beating Gaberil Knights: Sins of the fathers, the ending is amazing.

Coming back to Leisure suit larry 3 after many, many year and getting past a section I was stuck for months on in an hour ( no tips, just a brainstorm ) finished game about two hours later.

Space quest 4, the part where he travels to the future and captured by amazons, there is a puzzle there when he's tied to a table about to be devoured and the solution came to me so fluidily and naturely, like being in the developers head, that was sweet.

Finishing tetris, the ending is unbelivable ;)

proably when playing left 4 dead the jerks blocked the elevator with a generator and then went to have a party in our saferoom even the tank went. what they didnt know is that we had a oxygen tank so we just blew our way out. so we get to the safe room and all we see is 2 hunters a boomer and a tank dancing in thier we killed them before they even knew what happened. then we blocked them off and killed them in the elevator. not really a achievment but it was funny as hell

2 things

beating my dad at Mortal Kombat when I was 4 (he then just gave up on video games and the Amiga was transfered to my room...and the rest as they say was history)

the second thing isnt so great actually but when i got 105% on crash bandicoot: warped, that was probably the only time I finished a game totally and completely, doing all that can be done (hacks excluded) within the game!
