Evening Escapist,
I was recently talking to one of my chick friends in the states and I mentioned something I once saw while a resident of Norway in a town called Sjøvegan in the north which got me thinking.
Its a small town and the whole of one side is a big Fjord. Its surronded by mountains and this is the setting for the most beautiful moment I ever shared with a girl.
It was entering their winter which as some of you may know is a very dark period of Norway's year. My then girlfriend and I had to go out for some reason and when I looked to the sky I saw the dawning of the Aurora Borealis. Wisps of green painted across the sky almost as if God himself had stroked a brush of green water colours across it.
To me this was a big deal as I had never seen it before, to her it was a regular everyday occurance.
Anyway, we ended up walking down to the Shore of the Fjord and with the mountains in the background we looked into the distance of the starry nightsky with the yawning Aurora streaked across it.
We stood there for the better part of 10 minutes sharing my thick coat as a gentle wind blew across the water.
Sadly we have gone our seperate ways now but I still hold that 10 minutes as the deepest and most romantic moment of my otherwise sad life, haha.
Tell me guys and girls, whats your most romantic moment?
Just for the record I was 22 at the time so Yeah its kinda weird I would even acknowledge romance in any degree =P
