People hate Master Chief because he is in Halo.

I hate MC because everyone worships him and he's not even that interesting, I mean he's an ok character but "My god" there is soooo many more interesting characters in gaming and this vacuous personality continues to win everyones favor.....>>

I haven't been this confused with someones celebrity status since Paris Hilton.

He's pretty much the male version of Samus Aran without tits.

The day he unmasks himself and it turns out it's Samus all all along is the day I'll start liking the guy...I mean girl, even with all the hype behind hi-her.

I hate Gordan Freeman because everyone keeps considering to be a good character when he doesn't even talk once or is EVER shown, in fact the box art is the only indication that he is even real.

I don't really hate him but it's stupid how so many regard him as a good character when he is almost non-existant.

OT: I hated all the SEALs in MW2 because they all wore scuba tights. Its kinda hard to feal BA in tights.

I hate PS3 characters because 90% of them annoy me somehow. Although 92% of 360 game characters annoy me as well, the 360 has Master Chief, who I've grown fond of.

I hated Kaiden Alenko from Mass Effect because my game got glitched so that whenever I went to a level up screen kaiden's face was superimposed over everyone elses. That was the reason I picked him to die over Ashley, and his face still wouldn't leave!

That fucking sucks dude, I hate Kaiden also. =-) Not for any reason like that, mostly because he was a fucking cry baby about how his L2 implants gave him headaches, and how his teachers were mean to him.
