I was playing Battlefield 2 for the original XBox over live, didn't have a headset. Can't remember the name of the map, just remember that it had a bridge in the middle with a lot of tall building around that made it a snipers paradise. Anyway, I was playing on the U.S. team as a recon guy (whoever had c-4, can't remember). Game starts, and I do what I always tried to do, go for the flagpoint in the middle of the bridge between the two bases, so I grab a humvee, take a moment to plant a c-4 charge on it, and off I go, rest of the team starts babbling on about not going out and just letting the enemy come to them, and I mean they fully intend to capture no other flagpoints or anything like that, just sit at the base and setup ambushes...yeah. So I park my humvee by the flag, hop out, capture it, we get a new spawnpoint. So far so good. I look across the bridge to where the enemies would be coming from and I see two tanks, a jeep, and a helicopter coming towards me, along with the rest of the opposing team on foot. I hop in my own humvee and start to hightail it back towards my base, make it to the foot of the bridge, say "screw it" and turn around. By now the first tank is at the flag and the enemy is stopping to capture it, I steer my car straight towards the tank, leap out, let it crash into the tank, and I detonate the c-4, takes out two of the guys standing nearby, I then rush up and start throwing c-4 on the tanks and the helicopter, detonating and destroying them by some miracle. The blasts take out several more members of the opposing team, and the rest I pick off with machinegun fire, well, I blindly shoot and pray to hit something and pull it off anyway. I killed off the entire oppossing team, singlehandedly, in the span of about thirty seconds. I suck at shooters, and I will never experience that sort of glory again.
