FFIX is freaking awesome. Nice to see a non-broody Japanese protagonist. Also, I really enjoy Guitar Hero: World Tour. It's not as good as Rock Band 2, but I still enjoy it, damn it!

Chrono Trigger for Nintendo.
Sure, it was a few years ago, but I've never really heard of anyone knowing about it, and most people I showed it to said "What?"
I really liked the storyline, finished it at least ten times back then.

And Assassin's Creed is for the win, but who said it was bad?
Chrono Trigger is not an underrated game. It's one of the best games on the SNES and very popular actually.
Never figured. Like I said, I got a lot of "What?"s...

One word: Psychonauts.

It was one of the most underrated games on the Xbox. I loved every second of that game, even though I was basically collecting a lot of stuff. The game was so unique in its look and solid in its gameplay.

It had some of the best levels in any platform game. The Milk Man Conspiracy is still one of the best things to ever be put into a game to date.

"I work on the roads, see my stop sign?"
Wrong.

Project: Snowblind was one of the most underratted games on the xbox, even if it felt a little Japanese (but mostly good old english)

Mark Ecko's Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure

I love this game so much (and Yahtzee apparently likes it too)
As do I. Took a while to get into, but I did and I'm glad for it. Really should finish it at some point.

Vexx, turok, FFIX
I enjoyed Vexx as well. It didn't do anything majorly original, but what it did was pretty damned good.

I find that I'll enjoy a great deal that isn't highly rated. I enjoyed the Farscape game, Pariah, Tron 2.0, the latest Leisure Suit Larry, Aiken's Artifact, the Ankh series (and pretty much any adventure game, for that matter), the latest Broken Sword, the Postal series, Unreal 2 and god knows how many kids movie tie-ins.

Homeworld.

No one remembers the sudden freight train of emotion that hits you at the beginning of mission 3...

Jericho I thought was way underrated for the PC. Its cheesey good and the graphics are pretty nice.

Rugby 08, my favourite sport game and I've seen it mentioned hardly anywhere on the internet.

It's got loads of replay value and good core gameplay, it's a shame they only come out every World Cup.

FF XI very underrated MMO

just VERY hard
It's not underrated, it's justly bashed and jeered. It's a bad game in every aspect excep the storytelling, which is more in depth than usual for an MMO.

Quite frankly, there are so many games which people either rate or slate, and some of the best games out there miss the mainstream of the entertainment market. Some of the games I really enjoy do spout for things which either spend some time in the limelight and die out or just don't make it.

I don't really know about the history of this game and whether or not it is a popular game but Harvest Moon really does it for me. I have no idea why. just today I went on a exploration to dig out the N64 and Harvest Moon 64. i was at it for about 7 hours before I realised I had to eat at some point today. That, and Star Fox....nothing really beats Star Fox for a "space flying, shooting stuff to bits" kinda game.
