Underrated games:
Ranger X -Genesis/Mega Drive
Sparkster -Gen and SNES
Maui Mallard In Cold Shadow -Gen and SNES
Earth Defense Force 2017 - 360
Breath of Fire IV - PS
^ I swear no one knows the series went past 3
Silpheed -Dos/Sega CD/PS2
Timesplitters 2 & Future Perfect PS2/Xbox

Breath of Fire IV I'd agree is underrated, but I really don't find it comparable to III. Breath of Fire V is also underrated, I love what they did with the game. It's a shame the series ended there.

Zone of the Enders is underrated.

metro 2033 is recent memory, as well as alan wake. Even thoguh great reviews it sells like crap. And i love that game. Brutal legend is too. But I think Advent rising takes the cake, since its one of my favorite games ever.

Alpha Protocol, loved it. I hear it had glitches but that must have been for the PS3, I only ecountered a glitch once in a couple play thoughs on the Xbox.

Fallout Tactics. In my opinion its the best Fallout game and almost no one knew of it before Fallout 3. It would be completely unknown if it wasn't for the Fallout Trilogy Pack.(Shouldn't the "Trilogy" be 1,2, and 3 instead of 1,2 and Tactics?)

Nier, GAMEINFORMER IS FULL OF LIES! LIES I TELL YOU! along with one of my personal favorites, Chibi-Robo not sure if its underrated or if people just think its average but it makes picking up trash fun, and being a little robot interacting with toys funner, it awesome.
I heard bad review all around, can you elaborate why you love Nier?

Ye-outch! I sure hope that you left your sense of humor in another pair of pants before you wrote that.
Hold up there is a glitch in the system i was the one praising Nier and HG131 is the one who made the joke and that ones probably better than a lot of others I.E. Unskippable's
as for why i praise Nier is becuase the story is amazing the land feels alive the characters are interesting there is tons of good weapons and spells each good to experiment with. Plus the big thing people keep bugging about "The Side quest being boring and unrewarding" the side quest are optional i only did the first few to see what they were like. you don't have to do them you could beat the game with the starter weapon alone if you wanted to. check it and see for yourself, maybe you'll love it to.

My interest vanished at that point. Unskippable is awesome and so is LRR. Whatever you said afterward won't be read.

Yes, i see. Now i see that it was really a glitch. The first post and your reply made my Dictionary pluggin cry. I corrected what i could. (I got that shit alot when i write and I'm French-Canadian.)

I'll check it out, but there a more pressing issue first. DEADLY PREMONITION. I need to own that game.

Actually...I really didn't like Breath of Fire 3, I got it and 4 together a few years ago and 3 just got REALLY tedious with some things later on. The minigames were infuriatingly tedious, and then the maze at the end, was especially tedious. I think perhaps with a guide maybe it'd be better but I was very much not enjoying myself toward the end.
4 I just started and I'm enjoying it more... so far.

Morrowind
I would say that one os overrated.
Not really. People say it's alright, but that Oblivion is better. I'm one of the about 10-12% that say it's the other way round. Also, Morrowind has this. [http://www.tamriel-rebuilt.org]

Jade Empire
Singularity
Project Snowblind

Now, this one is probably wrong, but I feel as if not as many people supported SW: Knights of the Old Republic 2 as much as the first one. Especially since it was made by Obsidian and not Bioware.

Any game of the Suikoden series (except for IV and tactics those can go to hell)

Project Eden (not a masterpiece but still above average)

XIII (a great shooter)

Silent Hill 4- very different, yet one of my favorite games
Pyroblazer- one of the best racing games I have ever played and I'm not using this term lightly. It's an indy game, but can be bought on Steam
Warhammer Onine- very underrated MMO; this game revolutionized how pvp works in MMOs (I'm looking at you WoW) and made it more fun than a grindfest.
Virtual Fighter 5- as a fan of fighters, I can safely say that this is the best one on the market right now
Dawn of War II- the best RTS I've played so far. Maybe because the focus is on conquest and not resource gathering; maybe because of the different play styles; maybe because I suck at RTSs and squad control is easier than individual control. idk, but I really like this game.
Rainbow Six:Vegas 2- Very good shooter. Ideal balance between tactics and action.
Ureal Tournament 3- Screw the balence! All action as fast as possible!

Virtua Fighter 5 is one of the best current-gen fighters available.
Yeah, I played the demo for that game and I like it a lot. That's coming from a guy who only plays shooters.

Blast Corps on the N64.

It's fun, tons of levels and re-playability, and has hands down the most satisfying 100% completion award I've ever seen.
