Bioshock 2: (Copy of my post from another thread)

Just a warning to PC gamers. The game in its current state (2010/02) is virtually unplayable due to numerous bugs for many individuals in terms of G4WL account problems, savegame corruption, constant and frequent crashes, graphical problems etc (over 45 threads on their support forums) and this is all still after the first patch that got released just after the game itself. It might be worth the wait for a second patch before anybody attempts to review the pc version.

I have a powerful system that pretty much runs anything. Except Bioshock 2.
Video: The game is visibly uglier than the first game (The first game was gorgeous), with lower quality graphics (textures and lighting), aspect ratio problems, short draw distance texture pop issues, pixelation problems and hideous, HIDEOUS jaggies regardless of forced multisampling settings. Both DX10 and DX9 issues. Ingame bik videos cause crashes on numerous systems. Interestingly, it is also not colour-blind-friendly.
Audio:Audio skipping/looping and missing sounds, reverb also reported to crash game
Controls: No game controller support (Unlike Bioshock 1) and none is planned according to the developers. Also changing keybindings causes a lot of things to break ingame.
Other: Savegames corrupt, Games for windows live issues with logging in (cannot save without a g4wl account etc)

Hope they fix it all since it reflects really badly on them. This version of the game is now generally considered "unfinished" by those with technical issues. Personally I feel it to play as a pre-beta since I have played beta games that were more stable than this.

Will ammend my own review once I get to actually play it.

Dante's inferno, not a bad game in itself - the story line was worth hanging around for however the gameplay felt disjointed and riding on the back of creatures that could breath fire but not run pissed me off no end and quite frankly by the end of it everything was so overpowered that it didnt feel a challenge, not a horrible game just very hard to enjoy and play

GTA IV and Far Cry 2. Its not that they were bad games, actually I thought they were, but anyway, it just got to the point were I couldn't play them anymore. I hate them so much! Those are two of the worst games I have ever played.

Saint's Row 2 for PC, luckily it was a friend's copy and not mine. The driving was horrible, it ran poorly and looked like crap. To be fair, I was warned.

FIFA's Total Club Manager (or whatever it's been renamed) 2008 which was both really buggy and laughably bad when compared to Sports Interacive's Football Manager series.

Red Ninja: End of Honour

I still think I'm the only person on the site who has experienced the torture of playing this exploitative, broken piece of dogshit...

GTA 4 isn't unplayable, it's actually very good, but it has some extremely frustrating issues.
GTA4 is unplayable.

They couldn't make the game challenging to people who are even slightly skilled at shooters and driving games so the physics of cars change whenever you're on a mission(you could drive through a street filled with people but in a mission a flying newspaper could make the same car spin out of control) and any NPC you have to kill in a building will notice if you're pointing a scoped rifle at it's head, even when the only thing visible is the top half of the back of it's head and you're in a completely different building. It's even worse when you actually enter the target building, the NPC will instantly know where you are, run the other way and about a million enemies spawn between you and the target.

I know this is in every GTA game, but GTA4 is an acceptable target because it tries to be realistic.

Mass Effect.
I tried run it from the retail version but it didnt work and I got a GPF (general protection fault).
If it happens after installation(not the steam version), it would have been worth getting a no-cd crack and some way to activate the galaxy map(this gets disabled with a no-cd).

On-Topic: Daikatana.

Listing all the known game-breaking problems would take too long(I spent 20 minutes listing a portion of them before starting over and writing this).
I'll just say that without the 1.1 patch(that refuses to patch if the language settings, install location, date or planetary alignment aren't exactly like how it was when the patch was released) there's a 95% to 99% chance of a crash at the first map change. Loading a save at any point will break triggers so any special action has a chance of not working.(anything from enemies noticing you to doors opening)

I nominate Warfront: Turning Point and the KKND series.

Let's be fair to Warfront - despite the samey gameplay (think RA1 kncoking up Generals/Zero Hour and setting it all in WWII), it had some good ideas that never came across. What makes it unplayable? There's no tech support. So don't be surprised if after installing and playing it, it nukes your computer.

The KKND series is an exercise in frustration - namely the campaign mode. This Escapist's horrible experiance comes from the mission "The Great Escape". In it, you have to get a Technician to the other side of the map, where there's a Bunker that'll call in Reinforcements. You slowly get reinforcements at the Bunker, but the enemy attacks are too strong for any kind of defence. Did we mention you can't in any way reinforce the top Bunker with troops you made yourself?
