This just in, every country on the planet has some terrible, horrible people.
And while my country, the United States, certainly has its problems. I wouldn't say that American culture as a specific influence is the real problem here. This could certainly happen in another country. The woman most certainly has mental issues. Self and entitled to the point of sexually abusing her daughter.
This is every bit as offensive to us as any other country in the world. I can understand where many in this thread are coming from, I, too, am sick of making a remark about a nation every time something that many consider noteworthy for bad reasons happens.
I could at least understand if this were something pertaining to the subject of guns, because the United States does have a gun culture stronger than most countries. But this is certainly not something that uniquely reflects the United States culture as a whole. If anything, it reflects rape culture. Rape culture is certainly not unique to the United States.
