Mount & Blade-Warband Help

Hello peeps, just for the record this isn't help required actually playing the game, I'm yet to get that far!

I really need help with connection issues I've been having. Everytime I try and connect to a multiplayer server I get the message 'Unable to Connect'. I've tried literally every fix I could find on forums and the like. I haven't actually been able to post my problem on the Paradox forum because I can't register my game there because of another bug!

If anyone has any ideas while I'm waiting for a response from Paradox to reply to my ticket request I would really appreciate it.

Only suggestion I'm able to give really is to try verifying the games cache, to do this right click on Mount and blade: Warband from the list of games on steam, click properties, then click on the "local files" tab then verify the integrity of the games cache, if that fails then I can't really give any other advice apart from turning your internet off and back on again.

Already tried this.

Suppose I should just recap what I've tried:

Game Cache verified
Reinstalled (several times)
rgl_log.txt file edited
firewall disabled
Reinstalled using game launcher instead of Steam

Can't remember what else at the moment but I'm really lost for any more ideas.

You don't need to register your game in order to ask a question on the forums.

Try the Taleworlds forums, it's the forum of the developer and community rather than the publisher, so you'll probably have more success.

You could also try the Steam forums (as I'm assuming that's where you bough the game from) and if it's purely a multiplayer connection issue it could be something to do with Steam itself.

From what I've seen the Taleworlds forums aren't much help.

Yes, I did purchase it on Steam but connection isn't made through Steam itself. As stated I also tried reinstalling the game using the dev launcher and it still didn't work, so Steam can't be the issue.

Yes, common... in 2010. I read that thread, turned out it was an update issue but there have been several since and I haven't found anything regarding this problem dated recently.

Have you checked that your not joining modded servers? the majority of Warband servers are modded. Make sure the server says "Native" next to the name.

Incidently the 22nd siege server is by far the largest and the best (although it is European, don't know if you are).

Yeah it gives me a different message for modded ones.

22nd seige is the sever I've been trying to join actually!
