Mouse Trouble

My mouse has been acting up lately. Sometimes when I single-click it acts as if I double-clicked. This happens frequently, but not every time. Any advice is appreciated.

Details: My mouse is a Cyborg R.A.T.7

What I have tried (subject to updates):
-Scanning my computer for viruses.
-Unplugging and replugging in my mouse (both when the computer is on and off).

Sounds like there might be something caught in your mouse. Perhaps some crumbs or dust?

The mouse is not wireless, should I use compressed air to clean it?

You might try just tapping it gently a little on your desk to try and get the stuff out. Then compressed air might do the trick.
