Dear fellow film-loving Escapists,

It occured to me that while I'm not much of a popcorn/snacks guy at the cinema I really enjoy eating when watching films at home, my personal favourite being cheese & crackers with a BIG pot of tea.

So what do you snack on when watching a film?

Does it depend on genre? Chocolate for rom-coms perhaps.
Does it depend on who you're with? Bringing out the Doritos when your brother is staying over.
Or perhaps there are those fantastic creations involving Haribo, ice-cream and 10 million other ingredients that you enjoy, in your selfish wisdom, all by yourself?

I would love to hear about all your marvellous munchie inventions and specialty snacks that come out when you watch a film.

i like eating Smartfood (it's popcorn covered with white cheddar powder) and a soda, a beer or something harder depending on what mood i'm in.

Doesn't matter on the genre, I'll snack on pretty much anything. Candy, chips, ice cream, popcorn, it doesn't matter to me. XD

I love theatre popcorn. Drenched in butter, then when that dries, I pour on one of those packets of ketchup powder. Seriously, I love theatre popcorn. I sometimes go to the movies, just to eat the popcorn, no joke. Even if its a movie that only remotely interests me, I'll go because that means: Popcorn Time.

On that note, I'm sad because Cineplex/Famous Players no longer has their Telus Tuesdays thing. All day on Tuesdays, everything was half price. Meaning: movie ticket, drink and popcorn for $10.

Peanuts are delicious. Especially seasoned ones.

Also, I have an unhealthy addiction to Crunch bars. And those boxes of the little, bite-sized ones they sell.

i tell myself everytime i go to the theater that im not hungry, and i dont feel like popcorn..but god dammit the movie theater popcorn smells SO FUCKING GOOD and my stomach IMMEDIATELY makes room for some, so i end up getting it 3/4 the time =\

otherwise just give me some candy, preferably sour skittles or something of the sort.

You might find this strange, but I love to have nachos, topped with jalapenos, salsa.....and then dipped in icecream.

Popcorn, of course! I don't normally go to movie theaters but the popcorn is great.
Also candy, anything chocolate because that's the best kind

The cinema and supermarket are in the same retail park, which is less than 5 minutes walk from my house, so I pretty much have the pick of what I want and choose whatever I'm fancying at the time, regardless of whether I'm watching a cinema release or a film at home.

(raw)

Somehow I've devolved into a common animal....it's rather messy as well...I also don't go out as the sunlight burns my eyes and humans tend to stink.

At the cinema a bag of minstrils is allways a good idea, and a bucket sized cup of coke!
