Yeah, I'm working on a list of movies I haven't seen that I'm going to watch, all the way back to 1975-ish, plus classics like King Kong, Plan 9 From Outer Space, etc. ... Any suggestions?

Inglourious Basterds, Pulp Fiction, Grand Turino, Dark Knight.
I don't feel like listing tons of movies, but these are all good.

Godfather I and II would be high on the list
Downfall is always worth a watch
Less high brow, but more fun:
Lethal Weapon series is always good for a watch.
Alien Tetralogy
Equilibrium
Anythhing Tarantino
You've probably seen loads of those, but those are my suggestions.

No. Do not watch this movie if you've read the book. You will be glad Asimov died before this abomination was released. If you haven't read it, you can do so now and be amazed or enjoy a half decent flick. But you can only have one.

Ahhh yes I heard about how they got the book and thought "Nahh we'll do it like this!"
Thankfully I haven't read the book so it was an enjoyable experience.

Withnail & I
(Spectactular look at the end of the sixties, with incredible soundtrack. Executive produced by George Harrison, leading to one part of the awesome music, among other things. Fecking hilarious, too.)

City of God
(An incredible vision of a favela (a specific slum "la Ciudade de Deus" in Rio de Janeiro) across three (?) decades, autobiographical. Incredible visual style and musical accompaniment, besides amazing storytelling, skipping between the intertwining tales of the various characters in the favela.)

Oh man don't get me started. No don't. Aw shit too late.

Stanley Kubrick:
2001: A Space Odyssey
Full Metal Jacket
A Clockwork Orange

Paul Verhoeven:
Total Rekall
Starship Troopers
Robocop

The Godfather Trilogy:
I, II, and III. Yeah that's right, ALL of 'em.

Zombie flicks:
Diary of the dead
Dawn of the dead (the new one. The old one is good too if you're into vintage stuff.)
Army of Darkness
Braindead (That's Dead Alive for you yanks. Freudian horror at its best.)
Zombieland (haven't seen it yet but I've heard great, great things.)

The day after tomorrow I'm gonna see District 9. Again, not sure, but Moviebob sang nothing but praise. I was assured that it will be frickin epic.

Do you see what you made me do?!

Sin City was a good movie. So was Pulp Fiction. Can't really guess any others.

(Can you guess what two movies I watched today?)

Monty Python and The Holy Grail if you have not seen it. Drop everything you are doing and watch it NOW.

Most recently, I watched Zombieland and loved it. It was laugh-out-loud funny most of the time, with a decent enough plot for a zombie movie, and some great talent and style. I may have even liked it better than (I'm gonna just go ahead and get my flame shield ready now) Shaun of the Dead.
