1. Entire LotR trilogy. I don't like the books either.
2. Every Starwars movie.
3. Avatar.
4. District 9.
5. Batman Begins and The Dark Knight.

They're definitely others, but these spring to mind for now.

I also severely disliked Avatar; and it's not just because of the hype. I feel it falls down on basic aspects of film making (script, story and depth, to name a few things) and is supported by visual effects and the false promise of an 'immersive world.'

I hate this movie so much. Hell I like X-men 3 more than this movie and that movie ruined the x-men movie franchise.
The X-Men movie franchise was good?

300, I do know some other people who dislike it...but the vast majority seem to think it was sent down from some unearthly place and has no flaws. I pity these people.

District 9
What the hell is wrong with you.

OT: Superbad. The title perfectly describes it. It's a really bad movie, but a good friend of mine insists on watching it EVERY SINGLE TIME. He has no taste.

Dogma (It's not clever. It's about at the level of a fart joke.)

Boondock Saints (What is so "awesome" about this movie?)

The Crow (Yes, I get it. He died. That doesn't make the movie deeper somehow.)

Rocky Horror (The era has passed. You weren't there for it, and neither was I. Find a cultural phenomenon from OUR CULTURE instead of pretending you belong to that one.)

I detest Paul Haggis's Crash. Its photography is painful, acting forced, writing stilted and the point of the film is self-defeated in the last scene.

One of the worst movies ever made, technically poor and without any true content or meaningful message, it's just a sappy inferior version of Romeo & Juliet that's been done to death by Hollywood and has almost never been done well, it's the "Twilight" of it's era.

Yet average "brain-dead" Joe and average "nothing-in-the-noggin'" Jane sure like it.

PS: Add Avatar into the mix and you have the top two reasons why Cameron is aiding in the destruction of refined culture in modern society, replacing it with sappy meaningless romance between 2-dimensional characters and stories that are as complex as a P.S.A. directed to 5-year olds.

PPS: For anyone using the argument that movies needn't be "complex" or "have a message" and could just be 2-hours of "purty pictures and stereotypes"... go watch Capcom cut-scenes, save yourself 7?, use the 7? to buy rope, make a noose, kill yourself and let not your genes taint the human race.
