Title really says it all. I've got Netflix now, so I've been watching a lot of old movies and TV shows I haven't seen in a long time. But sometimes I encounter a movie I've never heard of that interests me.

For me today it's the 2010 Thriller called The Perfect Host, starring David Hyde Pierce.

Without going into details, the film is about a criminal on the run who barges in on the home of a man hosting a dinner party that evening.

Anyone out there who has Netflix, I recommend it.

What movies have you all never heard of but watched recently and enjoyed?

I enjoyed this terrible sex-comedy called MILF but only because I was watching it with friends and we were having a good time mocking the movie.

My friend tricked me into watching Perfect Blue. I don't usually like anime, but this film is now one of my favorites.

A watch quite few unkown films from the film club during Uni (shame it didn't last long). My favourite is Cinema Paradiso and Ikaru (not spelled right but it was about this man who is going to died from bowel cancer decide to make a different in life before he died).

Fargo, Moon and the Princess Bride.
I second moon. I saw the dvd cheap in a shop, liked the look of the cover and the press quotes (a comparison to 2001: A space Odyssey was made). So picked it up. Absolutely loved it. Sam Rockwell went from 'guy whom I recognise but don't really care about' to 'guy who is actually a bloody good actor' in my books after seeing that film.

Also, Adaptation, I saw it listed on a list of mindfuck films. Picked it up given the synopsis, and wow. It's probably the most meta film I've ever seen. And it stars 2 Nicholas Cages! 2!

I was searching through the movies on Netflix on my friend's Xbox and stumbled upon a movie called Tales Of Earthsea. I was skeptical(although I usually am about everything nowadays) but it had a pretty high rating and... I was bored out of my skull. Anyway, I watched it, and it was freaking awesome! I really liked the high quality animation and it had a pretty original story. It was a nice change of pace that didn't involve all the usual themes that cheesy animated movies want me to give a damn about. My friend came in to watch a couple times and couldn't stand it, probably because it lacked the required amount of tits or violence it usually takes to get his attention...
