I am 26, and have never seen star wars. Military movies and their overglorified peacocks likewise do not interest me.

It's never too late to watch and enjoy Star Wars. Chances are you'll be supremely underwhelmed, however. They get all the hype.

Total badass movie. I think an Asian guy directs it and definitely shows in its style. A movie you watch with your bro friends.

Already mentioned but Pacific FUCKING Rim. You know how most movies are like lets have an hour and 40 minutes of character drama and make the last 20 minutes the big action scene? Pacific Rim says fuck that noise. Let's have an hour and 40 minutes of Robots beating up monster and monsters beating up robots, and 20 minutes of character drama (actual times may vary).

Uhh... no, it doesn't. It really, really doesn't.

There's one big action scene, a couple of smaller ones, and the rest is all really shitty character drama with a bit of goofiness mixed in.

District 9: My favourite film ever. The collection of weaponry they use in this movie is one of the most badass I've seen. There's a gun that fires a fucking thunder cloud.

Elysium: Almost the same movie as District 9.

Pacific Rim: Giant robots versus giant monsters. You get what you ask for.

I will also add Starship Troopers to this mix! You sir have some good tastes!

If you BOYS want PURE, UNADULTERATED, BAD-ASS, then you can come and join us MEN in the BIG MAN CAVE as we watch 12 Angry Men. Seriously though, 12 Angry Men is the single best drama I've ever watched, this coming from someone who strongly dislikes dramatic films. Another greatly Manly film about the ruggedness of manly-men doing manly-things is of course Brokeback Mountain. They didn't even NEED to use the bait on those hooks!

That...and I would chase it with The Raid and The Raid 2: Baseball-Bat Boogaloo...and Dredd (aka: The Raid, A Rebellion Development Production)
