Movies/Games ruined by sequels

Which movies and games have been ruined by sequels?
The two movies that stick out in my mind are:
-The Matrix
-The Godfather

What do you guys think?

Matrix and Godfather?

F*** off.

No offense. But that's kind of like saying Emperor strikes back had ruined A New Hope. Or Temple of Doom ruined Raiders of the Lost Ark.

I gotta agree partly here...

The Matrix II and III were steaming piles of "I want more money" from the Wachowski Brothers.

Godfather II was the best of the three, where III itself was pretty crap.

As far as ruining the whole trilogy though, no, not at all.

It is honestly down to personal opinion for a lot of sequels.

However, every Disney sequel ever made has pretty much ruined each of Disney's classic films.

Cinderella 2, Bambie 2, Hunchback 2, Pocahontas 2, little mermaid 2, ect. There was no need for them at ALL.

Alladin and the King of Thieves was great!

They should have come to a conclusion to Halo at the end of the second game.

Yeah, I really do think that The Godfather 3 totally ruined the series.
And the 2nd and 3rd matrix movies ruined the mood for me too.

Pirates of the Caribbean.

I actually kinda liked the second one, but not nearly as much as the first. And the third one was just awful imho.

Batman Forever and Batman & Robin.

The Tim Burton ones were great (Yes, I liked Batman Returns). The Joel S. ones are the reason the whole thing had to be rebooted.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl was pretty good.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest was decent enough (big points mostly for Davy Jones and the Kraken).

It was good... but not as good as the first. And I think he was referring to Godfather 3, though I could be wrong.

I think it was better. But both are awesome for very different reasons.

And repeat with me: "There is no Godfather 3, No Godfather 3, No Godfather 3."

(Godfather 3 is actually a good movie, but it has Godfather on the name and it didnt live up to 1&2.)

Also! To stay more in topic. Bad sequels: Pirates of the Caribbean, way to ruin a awesome movie (The first one) with two sequels which were made just to cash in on its popularity.

You know, I have yet to see a Godfather movie. I am ashamed to say that, but it is true.

The reason I am quoting this is to agree on the Pirates sequels. I thought they were completely unnecessary and really didn't make much sense to make. The first one, while by no means perfect, had a satisfying conclusion. When I saw it, I honestly didn't think they would make a sequel. I was initially excited to see that one was being made, but when I saw it, all I could say is "What the fuck?"
