I hear they want to make another Eragon. I dearly hope I misheared because that'd be awful.
well there were more books in the series, so it would be reasonable for movies to be made of them.

The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull...I just wish that film could be erased from existence.
are you kidding? that was one of the best comedy films of that entire year!

There was a sequel to Blues Brothers? About what?
it was pretty much exactly the same. it wasn't a bad movie because it was the SAME movie. it was an entirely pointless recreation, but enjoyable if you hadn't seen the first. presumably it was those that hadn't who the movie was made for.

I'm with everyone on Saw, BioShock, Shrek, Matrix and pretty much everything mentioned thus far. I'm also praying to GOD (oh ho!) that The Golden Compass never gets the other 2 books made into movies....

I don't really think Tremors needed any more sequels. Especially having 3 of them.

AMEN BROTHER!!! The answer to the hotly contested debate is: We didnt need the first one... Or the author of them, come to think of it.

And a TV series. Can't forget about that.

Speed, Underworld, Predator (didn't need it, but Predators still looks awesome), Avatar doesn't, but he is thinking of making another, Cats and Dogs, Blues Brothers, Starship Troopers, and Alien(s). Alien 3/4 were terrible. Also, AvP didn't need requiem.

hey! screw you! revenge of the sith was awesome!... although... i agree on the other 2. i f%#^ing hate anikin.
The only redeeming quality of the prequel trilogy was the clones. Though that may be influenced by my reading of the Republic Commandos series. Really changes how you think of the jedi. The pod race was cool to. I like Sebulba more than "Ani."
Yeah, Anakin can go to hell, along with the wierd relationship with someone who stops aging until Anakin catches up to her.
A fully animated Yoda was cool though.

I wasn't aware it got one. I'm kind of glad I didn't know.

1 and 2 are great movies. 3 was so so and 4.... eh not bad. As much as I love the Tremor series I'm worried about the next one =/

Finally got the image to load XD!
The storyline could have made for some decent movies but these weren't them!

No. It was just less horrible than the other ones. Getting slapped upside the head will hurt less than getting kicked in the nads. Neither however is desirable.
Edit: For better contributing.

I'm just going to make the blanket statement of every fourth and up movie ever. It seems every movie series is doomed for crapdom after three.

Since these haven't been said yet: Jaws 2 and 3 shouldn't have been made, and nor should Free Willy 2 and 3...
I saw a fourth one where I work. I hadn't even realized they'd made any sequels at all.

Battle Royale....it makes me cry that someone thought it would be a good idea to give it a sequal.

Matrix, the first film was very good (despite a few plot holes) and I like the ending the next two films were like getting punched in the eyeballs.
I find it kind of funny. In the first movie the fight scenes actually looked more realistic then the next two.

The world never needed Twilight, all it has done for us is make our girlfriends drag us to the movie theaters. I would pull out my toenails one by one before i went to that movie.

Shrek after number 2 should not have happened.
Also Fright Night. Never saw the sequal but I dont' want to. The first one is GREAT and closed the story.

Ocean's 11 and Pirates of the Caribbean franchises seemed unnecessary. Both films were there really wasn't any need to make a franchise.

The biggest problem with the matrix sequels was an overload of pointless bullshit. You could cut most of it away, and leave a very good 100 minute movie.
