What are some movies (or parts of movies) that give you a shiver up your spine?

I DO NOT mean movies that scare you or freak you out.

I mean what are some moments from movies that are so moving or impacting or emotional that you get chills while watching them?

For me, it's a toss-up between:

"Pirates of the Caribbean At World's End" when all the pirates are raise their flags before the last battle

and the final speech that Dilios gives to the 10,000 Spartans at the end of "300"

The end of All Quite On the Western Front.

Just... If you've scene it, you'll know it.

Also, The ending of Shaun of the Dead, or what seems like the end, just when shaun's in the basement with Liz and Ed, just breaking down, very good emotional scene, for a comedy, infact, some scene's in Hot Fuzz were the same.

Cloverfield, repeatedly, especially when
the B-2 drops a bayload of bombs on the monster.
I've watched Cloverfield 26 times, and that scene still gives me chills.

Pulp Fiction and 300 used to, but they've sort of lost impact with repetition. Cloverfield still hasn't.

I tend to get that feeling from music a lot more than from movies. Probably because the images my mind makes are more epic than anything I've ever seen in film.

That being said however, The opening charge in the Last Samurai (however anachronistic it was) when the Samurai charge in out of the mist was fairly awesome.

The Day After always got to me... just the realization of it. I recommend it if you're interested in the a possible outcome of the Cold War turning sour.

Let's see,

In 'Flight of the Intruder' when Tiger Cole calls in the A-1 Skyraider.

'Black Hawk Down' there are a lot of spots that'll get to me.

'Saving Private Ryan' obviously at the end in the graveyard.

'Memphis Belle' when they're just getting to Bremen and at the end when they're singing Danny Boy in the plane before they land.

I'm sure there are more, but I can't think of them at the moment.

aliens is a ungodly horrifying film...

first time i saw it, i was half certain that the alien 3 and and 4 it came with would feature a clone ripley. it had no "THIS character won't die" shield like most do.

[sub]hilariously...[/sub]

The first helicopter shot flying over District 9, where you get your first sense of the scope of the alien ghetto. It really helps set up the rest of the film.

In Serenity when the Alliance operative is waiting for Mal's crew at Mr. Universe's. Mal comes strolling through the EM field, and the operative goes "He's not even changing course". And out of nowhere
a thousand reaver ships come bombarding in behind him. "T-target the reavers. Target the reavers! Target everyone! SOMEBODY FIRE!". I can't help but put an evil grin on my face every time I see that.

Empire of the Sun when Jim starts singing Suo Gan when the Japanese soldiers get in their planes. God, that was brilliant.

Iron Giant when Giant tells Hogarth to "stay".

Oh yeah, and in Harry Potter 6 when Dumbledore makes the ring of fire in the cave.

i think the music they use in the movies is what has to do with a lot of that.

The Vanishing (Dutch version, not the crappy remake) when Rex learns what happened to Saskia.

The Mothman Prophacies. That whole movie just sends shivers down my spine. Indrid Cold talking over the phone is especially creepy.

I'll see you in time.
