Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of The Crystal Skull >.>

I don't think this movie is fantastic or anything, but it was an enjoyable enough romp that kept me entertained for two hours. Definitely not the hideous train wreck that a lot of people make it out to be. I think this is one case where people's nostalgia and expectations coloured their reception of the movie.

I liked Transformers 2. Don't really care what anyone else has to say about that.
I agree, It wasn't half bad. Infact, None of the Transformers where.

My List is

Transformers 1,2 and 3.
Knowing.
Battle LA. - I actually really liked this one, it was the first good alien movie for quite sometime. It was more like watching real soldiers than your sterotypical gung-ho american soldiers. And we won! (Sortof...) At any rate, it beats the usual "Ooo we are the real monsters" or "We are just so rubbish, the soopa aliens beated us =(" (Im looking at you Skyline!)

Death Race. It's generally regarded as a bad film, despite being very nearly the best film. But then, a lot of people seemed to think The Hangover was good, so I'm apparently in the minority.
I'm with you on this. And seriously, why did no one make at the very least a XBLA game out of Death Race. Racing with Guns, three laps, three rounds, you only progress if you survive. AWESOME!
Well at least there's Carmageddon: Resurrection [http://www.carmageddon.com/] in development. Not quite the same, but I'm sure it scratches the same itch. I loved Carmageddon back in the olden days, so we'll see what they do with it. It seems like it's being developed old-schoool by a gaggle of enthusiastic idiots, so hopefully they'll be brave and go against the 'streamlined progression' design ethos that seems to be fashionable these days. A lean-and-purposeful approach to Carmageddon would be an affront to all that is just and good.

The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, The Dukes of Hazzard, Transformers (the first one, don't care for the sequels), Astro Boy... and that's all I can think of right now...

Everyone tells me that the new (well relatively new) Star Trek is a disgusting piece of crap. I get this from nerd and non-nerd friends.

I liked it though.

I'll be the billionth person to say Sucker Punch. I didn't see what was wrong with that film.
It's gratuitously violent, stereotypical nerd-fodder and offensively misogynistic? Like, more misogynistic than Antichrist, which won an an award (undeserved) for offensive misogyny.

Transformers 1 & 3 (No surprise, I know. Second one was really boring in the middle)
Cloverfield (Its a monster movie, I haven't seen one of those in a long time)
300 (People hate this movie because its stupid and cheesy. I love 300 for those reasons)
Avatar (REALLY OVERRATED, but I still enjoyed it a lot)
The Expendables (Shit blows up, what else did you expect from an all star film?)

Batman & Robin and Batman Forever. I don't care what anyone says. Though the whole Bat credit card thing was kind of silly.

It was pretty cool.
To be fair, I think its a pretty divisive film. People seem to either love or hate it. I know I loved it.

The first thing that springs to mind is Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows. MovieBob, whom I usually agree with, said that it kindof sucked, whereas I thought it was equally as good as its predecessor, if not better.

Transformers 1-3
Tekken Blood Vengeance
Avatar Last Airbender

those are the only ones I can think of
isn't blood vengeance that old movie they showed on G4 not too long ago? with the one scene with the fight between a big muscular guy and someone else using a spear and a chain with barbed wire attached?

for me, lots of people bash Avatar (the james cameron one), but i really liked it.
i also really liked sucker punch, though basically everyone but my best friends who saw it with me said it was crap. (oh and my brother)

the transformers movies were alright, the battle scenes were pretty nice, though the acting i found.... well i cannot really describe it with anything but an EHHH noise. so i wouldn't consider them good, just not bad.
i also really liked employee of the month (the one with Dane Cook), but i have heard a good bit of bashing on that.

Moon. Lets just say that my friends are more the Hangover type...
Absolutely phenomenal movie. I ranted and raved about it to all my friends, about how much of a masterpiece is was.
They watched it and got bored within about half an hour. I was so sad.

OT: Collateral.

Nacho Libre and Green Lantern
Though after some ranting from the internet, I kind of got the point why it wasn't so great.

Mine would be Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow ... just the title alone tells you that you're in for something campy and garishly early-20th-century.

When I saw this thread, only two words popped to mind: Charlie's Angels.

Granted, framing my entire life around my love of Final Fantasy X-2 might have something to do with my fondness for the movie upon which it's based, but honestly, I really do adore Charlie's Angels because there's something to be said for a movie that's painfully aware of its own stupidity and simultaneously so carefree and complacent in its absurd self-parody. It isn't a masterpiece by any stretch of the word, but I don't think people understood that it was a movie intended to lampoon the ridiculous nature of not only its source material, but its entire concept. The dialogue is cheesy, the action is overdone, and the perceived 'sex appeal' has been turned up so high that it's gone far past 'sexy' and into the realm of 'hilarious'. Can you really call it out on being a bad movie if that's what it was going for the whole time?

Avatar Last Airbender

BUT IT DESECRATED AN AMAZING SHOW!

We have nothing to say to each other.
Avatar the movie has about as much in common with Avatar the anime as my forum avatar does. Name only. It didn't desecrate anything that way, and I can't take anyone who claims it did seriously.
But it does have to do with the show, characters, events, set pieces. If it was like a game remake that was only similar in name, I would agree. But it isn't just in common with the name.
No, it doesn't. If it does, find me the episode of the anime where furutistic VTOLs blow up an enormous fucking tree just because it's in the way of a mineral they want without a care for the locals living inside that very tree, or where blue cat-like humanoids trash a bulldozer and launch a full-on aerial
assault on the back of pterodactyll

Go on. I'm waiting.
Wait were talking about THAT avatar..?
What other Avatar would we be talking about in a discussion of movies universally hated yet you like? I haven't seen anyone hating on the anime movie, but it seems even mentioning you have a passing indifference to Avatar the 3D CGI-fest on the internet gets you lynched.
Actually Avatar the last Airbender is FAR more Reviled a movie than the James Cameron Avatar movie. It was seen by many as M Night's last chance that he completely blew. The movie made almost no money and was panned by both critics and everyone else. I've yet to meet a single person that even tolerated that movie. and more than a few that just walked out on it.

Also I hate when anyone calls it an Anime why would you consider it one BTW? Its like calling Gi Joe an anime.

Then why aren't people decrying it as the worst piece of film this side of HD like they do Cameron's Avatar?

The art style screams it. It looks like one in the adverts you see when there's no fast forward left on the TiVO, and as such, there's the label.

But its an American Animated show. Also Everyone decried The Last Airbender I've never seen a single good review.

You know how they do those audience reaction shots after a movie premire when everyone talks about how great it was so they can put that in the commercials. Well the one for avatar had everyone panning it so much that they pulled it from the air.

I've not found anyone who liked it, Its almost universaly Lothed.
