Something that I noticed today is that a lot of movie today feature good actors but they have no on screen chemistry so there scenes seem forced and unbelievable. What are some good movies where the cast works really together?

Here is a couple:

500 Days of Summer
Drive
50/50
Adjustment Bureau
Lars and the Real Girl

What are some good movies where the cast works really together?

Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz. Simon Pegg and Nick Frost work perfectly together, they really do.

Also, I know it's not a movie, but Psych is a television show where the main characters (especially Shawn and Gus) really do work together perfectly.

Well, I don't know about movies, but I'm dropping the inevitable TV example of Firefly.

I can't imagine replacing any of the cast of Requiem for a Dream. As a counter example, I would replace Ellen Page in Inception in a heartbeat. There is simply nothing about her that suggests to me a sophisticated college student capable of constructing worlds.

As much as I love Firefly, I can't say I'd call much of anything there great chemistry. It's adequate, but the characters are more just great as individuals.

You're kidding right? All of the characters interacted perfectly with each other and you can tell all the actors are having a great time because, well, they are.

Repo Men - In Fact, the great chemistry between Law, Whitaker and Schreiber (as well as a kick ass action scene near the end) elevate the film from "ok i guess" to "pretty good" for me.

Once - Well, duh, since the protagonists actually had a relationship that started while shooting the movie.

Iron Man 1 - While Don Cheadle is the better actor, the Chemistry was just stronger between Robert Downey Jr. and Terence Howard

Jacobs Ladder - Danny Aiello and Tim Robbins

The Shawshank Redemption - ...well, i guess Tim Robbins is just a very compatible kinda guy.

And since i start to get to much into Bromance Territory:

Lost in Translation (or maybe the movie was just that good to compensate)
The Adjustment Bureau
and Red Eye (despite...you know...)

Batman & Robin
The Star Wars prequels
Zardoz
Highlander: The Source

...

Oh, you want GOOD chemistry.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Sounds ridiculous, but god damn if Bob Hoskins doesn't do a fantastic job of acting alongside animated characters. One of the greatest miracles of acting history.

The Hunt for Red October. Yes, it's ridiculous having Sean Connery playing a Russian alongside Tim Curry and the guy who played Dr. Grant in Jurassic Park, but... by God, they do a great job, and Remius and his officers really come off as a tight and loyal submarine crew. I think so, anyway.

Ghostbusters. Do I have to say anything? They were practically playing themselves. These guys WERE all actually friends, and Bill Murray REALLY WAS the conceited jerk of the bunch.

The Blues Bros. Same thing. Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi were like brothers before Belushi kicked the bucket, and they really brought it to the screen.

ANYTHING with Gene Wilder and Mel Brooks involved.

Office Space

Pulp Fiction. It's the one that says badass mother fucker.

They have good chemistry, certainly, but Firefly can get predictable at times. Not formulaic, certainly, but you kinda' know how any given interaction between two members of the cast is going to go before it happens. Mal's going to embarass Inara. River's going to skeeve everyone out, especially Jayne. Jayne's going to be a self-centered meathead. Zoie and Wash are going to f!#@ like rabbits, then argue a lot when they disagree on something. Kaylee is going to be sunny and then Jewel Staite is going to try in futility to deliver southern-ish midwestern-ish prairie slang. (Seriously, every time that girl says "ain't" I shake my head in shame)

I don't mean to diss Firefly at all--I fucking love it--but I'm with Jadak. It's less that the cast played off one another all that well and more just that the characters were memorable and wonderfully written in themselves. If I had to name highlights, though, I'd say Mal and Wash do great, and so do Simon and River. I never fully bought Wash and Zoie, though (especially knowing that she's married in real life to FUCKING MORPHEUS FROM THE MATRIX), and I always felt Inara was the most weakly acted.

Yeah, I guess It depends on what your definition of chemistry is in this context. For me it means seeing that the cast are having the time of their lives, which they clearly are.

Drive - agree with this one.. which brings me to:

Pusher (1996) - By the director of Drive (Winding Refn), a story of drugdealing thugs in Copenhagen. There is so much chemistry going here it's hard to shake the notion that it's fiction you're watching. It's similar to Drive in a way, but more gritty and realistic and much less artsy. And it has a very deep sense of humanity that was a bit lacking in Drive.

Yeah, what he said.

Another few I would add to the list are the Lethal Weapon series. The 2 main actors really sound like friends.

Have to agree 100% with band of Brothers, Thats series is just so lovley in every way!

As for my own choice:

Patrick Stewart and Ian Macellan in the (first two) X-men films, any scene they shared together clearly showed that these two actors were great friends off screen, which led to a believable friend/enemy relationship on screen.

Other than that anything I would have said has already been posted
