OT: Avatar. Could not suspend my disbelief at any point at the movie and did not care for the charactrs anyhow.
I don't like sweaty guys in armor suits. I can take them seriously but it doesn't make me like them. At least when I watch Batman I can laugh at him, I never bothered watching Ironman just because that sort of thing doesn't appeal to me. Anybody here see Mission Impossible 3 or Doubt? Whenever I see Philip Seymour Hoffman in anything all I can think about is Along Came Polly where he's all fat and disgusting and sharts himself. It makes it hard for me to view him as a villain or in any serious dramatic role.
It's weird, but this. When I step back and look at it, he's really a great actor. But I'm never able to shake off the "it's nicholas cage, not character xyz." He just stands out, so it's hard for me to lose myself in the movie.arsenicCatnip said:

I have a theory about Sly only working right as an actor if the movie also features Rob Schneider. I don't like any of those actors usually, but Demolition Man is probably my favourite movie.
