Eh, you aren't missing much when it comes to Anti-Christ. It had a crappy ending from a director who works off of shock value. I must admit that it had beautiful cinematography though.Tentickles said:When I watched the scene where he's about to flee because he used "slave labor" and he starts freaking out. Oh god... I balled my eyes out for the rest of the movie. Even watched the entire procession of survivors at his grave at the end.mazzjammin22 said:Schindler's List. Fantastic movie, but it...takes some effort to get into it and try and sit through all the depression.
Even thinking about it now makes me have that chest tightening feeling.
I just could not finish Antichrist (2008, starring Willem Dafoe). The stark portrayal of a couple grieving over their lost child. Wonderful movie but I tried to watch it 6 months after my father suddenly died. I only got half way thru. Been meaning to watch it but can never get too it.
You need to finish Magnolia, the whole point of the movie is to throw you and think that everything will come together. It goes against the grain and the formulaic and from that, it brings truth.Sojoez said:Magnolia.
Don't get me wrong I truly love movies that have different storylines that fall into each other at one point.
I knew it was going to happen and I awaited for it patiently. But after a while it felt like the verbal diarrhea Marlon Brandon spout out in Apocalypse Now.
Well, look at it this way: If you have to get emotionally fucked by a movie, at least it was an excellent movie.Just_A_Glitch said:![]()
Never before has a movie emotionally destroyed quite like Moon did. I've never cried during a film, until Moon.
I can't watch it again. I own it. I loved it. I look at the case every now and then, wondering to myself, "is today the day I watch it again?". I don't think that day will ever come though. I just can't.
I'm sort of sorry you exist.Vault boy Eddie said:Scott Pilgrim, 7 minutes in I felt I was getting dumber by the second, OMFG i'll never get those 7 minutes back.
The commentary is worth listening to on the movie. They explain the process well and how they defend some of their scenes.DarkhoIlow said:Bruno was one of the movies I barely pulled through while watching it.
I'm not homophobic, but after watching the whole thing I was asking myself: how come the producers of the film could keep some of the scenes that I've seen in it,without igniting some sparks.
Oh god, yes. Lol and Gainsbourg were both quite difficult to get through, partly because I barely understood them, and partly because I kept falling asleep.Canid117 said:The movies they force you to watch in High School French classes.
Watch the original Death race 2000 and you will understand that for a remake of a bad 70s movie, it was fucking terrific. You kind of have to appreciate the genre for it's own sake to understand that the movie was designed to be over the top, in a funny, satirical way. But, if that isn't your thing, I can see why you wouldn't care for it. Personally, I fucking love that movie.BNguyen said:2. Death Race - pretty much a Fallout version of Mario Kart - it took itself too seriously for an event so stupid
