Ok, there are movies I dislike, even hate that many people enjoy. Friends, co-workers, people of similar interest think I'm nuts for this... so here goes.
1. Scott Pilgrim. I know, most people here love that movie. I just didn't get it, didn't enjoy it even after giving it several views just to clear the air. I wasn't wholly impressed with it at all.
2. Avatar. I was not a fan of this movie for multiple reasons. While it was graphically beautiful, the story was pretty weak and boring to me. I couldn't find any real reason to like the movie. Plus I've never been a James Cameron fan which leads me to...
3. Titanic. I have multiple reasons for hating this movie, most of which have to do with working at Blockbuster Video when it was released on video. And the rest were partially due to so many girls saying to me "omg! you look like Leo!" Which I do not. I respect him as an actor, and like many of his movies. However, I didn't like the whole comparison especially since a lot of these girls were also people who didn't give me the time of day beforehand. Personal bias aside, I wasn't impressed with it and didn't think it was all that Oscar worthy, being predicable and short on interest.
4. Transformers. MovieBob hit home with me on his reviews of the series. I loved the cartoons as a kid. The movies sucked hardcore...
5. I now pronouce you Chuck and Larry. Without getting into political issues, I didn't like this movie because it was just one long running Gay joke that also tried to have a message. I'm sorry but if you're going to have a political agenda, don't ruin it with stereotypical jokes. I love Adam Sandler mind you but this was one of his worst.
6. The Devil's Rejects. I love Rob Zombie, I loved House of 1000 Corpses. It surprised me that I couldn't enjoy this movie one bit. I felt like it took all the things I loved about the first movie and retconned them without giving any real explanation why.
7. Juno. Ellen Page was the type of person I could never stand in this movie. Annoying, pretentious and so smug about her views, she just pissed me off to no end. That being said, she's a good actress and I loved her in Inception. But this movie was just hipster aggrandizement and I felt it popularized a world view that is so annoying.
