(I searched for a thread like this and didn't find one, sorry in advance if I missed it.)

Hey just wanted to know? What are movies that you liked that everyone you know didn't like or never heard of.

Personally I enjoyed "Cloverfield." What about you?

Pulp Fiction.
So many of my friends hated that movie, but it's my favorite film ever.

Zombieland
How could someone not like Zombieland?
On 4chan's /tv/ (Television & Movies) there was a lot of discussion about how it wasn't as funny as Shaun of the Dead and how the acting was crap and a whole bunch of other stuff. I dunno, I personally thought it was a good Z-movie.

Watchmen - I remember seeing threads on quite a few forums saying how bad it was, but I loved it, and I also loved the graphic novel. Same goes for V for vendetta, Loved both the movie and the graphic novel.

Must just be me

To be fair, you're never told what period of time they're in and it can get hard to follow. It's not overly complicated other than that though.

OT: I really like Star Wars. In fact, I really like the Star Wars prequels the mostest out of all of them. And I think The Phantom Menace is good. In fact I'd go so far as to say it's -

Most people here are just listing generally popular films that, for some reason, the people they know don't like.

I like the movie adaptation of The Shadow (1994). It was crticially savaged, but I thought it was awesome- stylish, action-packed and even quite funny.

I actually quite liked Lost in Translation though my housemates didnt, kept wondering what he said to her at the end too.

Maybe it was just Ms Johansson on screen that kept me interested

A lot of movies I liked were not that well recieved by critics. I liked:
Cloverfield
Van Hellsing
Transformers(2007 one)
X-Men Origins: Wolverine
The Incredible Hulk
I Am Legend
I Robot

And probably the biggest instance of this; I liked the Prequel Trilogy. No, they're not as good as the originals, but I still like them.

I liked that film, or what I remember of it anyway, and "The Illusionist" was also pretty good.

OP: Revenge of the Sith, I don't know what that film has done to earn so much scorn from Star Wars fans but I liked it more than any of the others. I love old movies but I just found the first three Star Wars to be crap, don't know why.
