There are some movies I've seen in my life where..there was an initial appeal, maybe because you like the director and most of his/her movies are good so you figure so will this one..but when you see it, you like it enough to keep watching it just to finish it, but you never wanna see it again either because...maybe something in the movie was Really stupid, disturbing, or whatever.

so here is an example.

1. Stanley Kubrick's: A Clockwork orange. I will first say, that this movie is brilliant and I fully respect the director and what the movie is putting across as a whole. However...I can't get over certain events that happen initially in the movie. It's so visually and morally wrong (despite that its just an act) that I never want to sit through it again. Which is truly unfortunate.

So are there any movies you guys have seen that You like it to a point...and you WANT to want to watch it again..but you just cant.

ANY M Knight Shamalamamamamamamamamamamamalan movie
They all seem to loose their edge once you know the twist....except for the sixth sense and thats mainly because Bruce Willis is in it...and no one denies THE BRUCE

Synecdoche, New York
Boogie Nights
and I would have said A Serbian Film, but I watched that twice.

I watched Avatar and Inception twice (well, Avatar twice in the theater and 3 more times at home) but I haven't got a desire to watch either again for awhile (both were good, but I feel like I figured it out by the time Inception was over).

Avatar, watched it once, liked it [or rather, I liked the environment, the story and characters were just meh], never want to see it again.

Space Jam.

Though I'll admit, as a kid, I liked it. But, now, it's just so.......................corny.

The Prestige.

The movie is great, one of the best I'd seen that year, but the movie is spoiled after the first time.

Come and See. It is a brilliant film, and possibly the most potent anti-war film ever made, but who would want to see it twice?

The Dark Knight.

After seeing/experiencing it for the first time, I just couldn't bring myself to sit through it a second time. I don't know why, exactly. Partially boredom, partially not wanting to ruin the experience, I guess.

Avatar. I liked it once, but only for the visual "Whoa!" Now that that's gone, and I know the story is absolute shite, I'll never watch it again.
Also: Law Abiding Citizen. I actually really enjoyed that movie, but now that I know how everything worked, it kinda ruined the experience. You know what? Any thriller/horror movie. Once you know the twist, it's just not as good watching it anymore.

This.

Also, I really don't think I'd want to watch Spirited Away again, for some odd reason. Although the environment, imagery and pure imagination of the film were initially enthralling, once I saw and experienced everything I looked back and couldn't find many compelling scenes that were awesome enough to warrant a second viewing.

EDIT: Also, Paranormal Activity. I saw a friend's *cough* DOWNLOADED *cough* copy that included the GOOD ending, the one with the cops and not the head (to avoid spoiling things). Enthralling experience, especially in the final third of the movie, but damn...I don't think I'd ever want to see that again. The only reason I slept that night was cuz there were two other guys in the house with me, plus my friend's dad.

Cloverfield. Seeing New York getting destroyed by a giant monster is fun and all but the camera style makes the movie very tiring to watch.

Movies are very disposable with me. My general reaction is "I've already seen this." The list of movies that AREN'T like that with me is far shorter.

Really? I loved Spirited Away. I actually spent $20 to get the DVD, which I must've watched at least three times at this point. But different strokes for different folks, I suppose.
Grave of the Fireflies was just way too heavy to watch again.

The Lord of the Rings trilogy. They're good, but I would rather belly-flop into a sea of rusty metal shards than sit through nine hours of it again.
