So you may or may not have heard about Minefield. I found out about it while on Twitter (mine is twitter.com/slapsticdotcom) And I downloaded it. This thing is FAST. 10% faster than Google Chrome, in fact. Try it out! http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-trunk/

Could you offer a brief description of Minefield? I'm not familiar with the thing...

You may want to edit your OP, as well- without anything to discuss, this thread looks a bit like an advertisement for Minefield....Which leads to locked threads.

I see nothing there but links to other Firefox builds...

Edit: Wait, so is it called Minefield, or is that some kind of code name for a beta build of Firefox?

I believe it's in alpha testing, but for that link, it's the bottom three. If you want to see the official site, http://www.mozilla.org/projects/minefield/

I just installed minefield and it works. As for if it's faster than firefox 3, I'm not sure. It looks almost exactly the same for those who care.

Nah I'm not advertising, I'm just sharing. I'm not like a Mozilla employee or anything. So what minefield is is essentially this place where Mozilla tests out all their new code for firefox, without releasing it and calling it firefox. And apparently, in this latest version they found some sort of speed breakthrough and upgraded everything. So they've released this optional version of what is essentially a way faster version of firefox 3.
