MST3K seriously holds a special place in my heart. First of all, each episode is two hours long, so its almost not a TV show, its more like a great way to repurpose bad movies, but the characters are really good too, and the whole premise just rocks. Yea, I don't think I could apply the label of best show ever, or even of the 90's, but MST3K was definitely one of the most intimate shows of our time. By that I mean the characters were so damn likeable, and part of the premise was that they were talking right to you, so it really made me feel close [weird] to the characters. I love Southpark and the Upright Citizen's Brigade a lot too, but they never related to with the audience, which Joel/Mike and the bots did. And I prefer Joel, even though I was raised on Mike. Joel was just willing to do funnyshit, while Mike was a little more button down. Anyone seen the episode Pod People, and in one of the segments they recreate the scene where Trumpy goes all crazy and makes stuff fly around the room? When they do that on the Satellite of Love, its just beautiful, and Joel makes it work. Mike was a little more sarcastic which was cool. They both had their strengths, and I love them both, but I'm a Joel person.
