If you own a PS3 and an Xbox360 which console do you typically buy your multiplatform games for?

I typically buy them for 360 and always have. If it is a multiplayer game I get them on 360 as all my friends play on xbox live. Also if it is a FPS I prefer the 360 controller's R and L triggers better than ps3's.

I also like getting achievements. I rarely pay attention to trophies. This is becoming less and less of a reason though, as I used to be a major achievement whore. I still do like getting achievements and go for them, but only to prolong my enjoyment of the game. Anybody can get a high overall achievement score playing 06 sports games, King Kong, and Avatar. Now I go for full completion of particular games.

Because of this I have a fairly small PS3 library and often my PS3 collects dust. However they do have quite a number of good exclusives so I never regret getting a PS3. Infamous, Resistance, Killzone 2-3, Little Big Planet, Demon's Souls, Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank, Metal Gear Solid 4, and Disgaea 3+4 to name a few.

usually PS3 I do play 360 but only for the exclusives, I've bought 4 360's I'm just not confident the console won't RROD again, still I haven't played it since I finished Gears of War 3 one week after it came out. I'll probably play it again once Onechanbara Z Kagura gets released

I took a lot of effort into choosing which console might be good, heck I bought late because I didnt want to spend cash on either, in the end I got the 360 because it seemed to have less problems with Fallout 3 and NV than the PS3.

Putting aside exclusives, I get most of my fps on Xbox, as thats what most of my friends play on, but 90% of the other genre's I pick up on PS3 of PC

I get them on the Xbox. I grew up with a lot of gamer friends. Some of us still live close but a lot have left the neighborhood and even the state. The Live party, cross game chat function is a way to hang out with them as much as I want even when we aren't playing the same game. Hell, even when some of us are on our PS3's we keep the Xboxes on for the chat. We even watch tv while in the chat together. Been watching pretty much every playoff game that way unless some of us decide to go to the neighborhood sports bar.

Damn, this post is starting to sound like a commercial. It's fun to play together! :p

PS3. Don't own an Xbox360 anymore, so it's not that I have a lot of choice. I don't play online multiplayer, nor do I care about achievements/trophies, so those aren't issues either.

Let me put it like this... I have 5 games for my PS3, and 60 games (I actually went and counted them) for my Xbox 360 :)

I guess the main reason is that I much prefer the Xbox's controller, but also more of my friends own Xboxes than PS3s, so if I'm wanting to play a game multiplayer, I'm much more likely to have someone to play it with if I buy the Xbox version

If I had a PS3 I think it'd still be on 360. Not too fond of the PS3's squishy marshamallow triggers.

PS3, first of all I like the exclusives more and second of all it's controller is way better. The 360's controller is made for gorilla hands I have no clue how people could play games that use both the analog stick and the d-pad. I can't play the 360 one handed at all, while at least on the PS3 on tactics games or JRPGs I can play one handed and do something else with my other, like eat.

Well the 360 is actually my dads so if I want to play exclusives I either have to deal with shit quality over the channel or play in his office.

I generally always get PS3 games given the choice UNLESS there is near-unanimous critical/player preference .

I also almost never get used games for the 360 because I've had numerous problems with the discs but NEVER for a PS3 game.

My library is split roughly 75/ 25 (PS3/XBox)...
