I hate achievements full stop. I see them as nothing more than an artificial way to pad out game longevity, a way to appeal to those who like to grind away. It's a cheap way to avoid not having to make the game fun enough to have the same staying power.
now...that I don't agree with, my reason being that I enjoy a nice challenge with my experience. My main issue was with the abuse of them, with the grinding and such. I personally love the little *bleepbloop* after completing a chapter, It adds a nice touch to the work you just did. Also, let me thank all you guys for your posts, it made my day :D

Having them? no. But abusing the right to have them is insanely annoying when you want to 1000 out a game.
I couldn't agree more.

The worst of it is when it's a horrible excuse for a multiplayer and they require you to do it on ranked matches and get to level X where it take hours and hours of painful boring repetition to get there...

I wish multiplayer would be given as DLC so then you had the option to get it if you want...then again, I am mostly a single player kind of guy

"PLAY ONLINE, WE DIDN'T CARE ABOUT THE CAMPAIGN"
"PLAY CAMPAIGN, WE DIDN'T CARE ABOUT THE MULTIPLAYER"

See what it looks like on the other foot? Now, personally, I'm a single-player guy through and through, but I know some people who love multiplayer more then singleplayer. I'm completely fine that there are some achievements targeted to them as well.

Achivements are meant to be kinda "for fun" perks, it's when people get grumpy and feel that they're "required" to get them that it's a problem.
