Multiplayer on games that no one is playing.

I just re-downloaded Monday Night Combat, and got a free expansion pack, and it seems like no one is online anymore. I go to play crossfire, no one is there. I try out the newest Blitz map, no one is there, still waiting.

So do you know any games that no one seems to be playing online?

I remember playing Turok (360 version) one day after it was released. I met the same player 5 times in the space of an hour. There was no-one else playing that game. Needless to say it was returned as soon as I finished the campaign.

cod world at war, my friend sent me her copy over the holiday and I went ahead and played tho it just to see how it was (pretty meh it turns out) and after winning it I jumped online to see if it was any better multi but I couldnt find a single server for anything

The last time I played was a year ago. Some buddies and I were fighting with crappy (but good looking) Gundams.

The recent AVP for the 360.

Most of the problem comes form the games poor connection issues and buggy matches, thus making most of its community quit out of frustration. Which sucks because its actually quite fun.

Are you playing MNC on XBLA or Steam? Last time I played the Steam version there was a fair number of players online.

Same here. I tend to prefer single player anyway, but I have been disappointed at times when I find nobody is playing multiplayer anymore.

I remember Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight being an absolute wasteland by the time I got around to buying it in 2002 (yeah, I was REALLY late to the party on that one). It didn't help that you had to manually input the IP of a server you wanted to join instead of navigating a list. When the Zone took the game off its list it was the final nail in the coffin for multiplayer. Good thing the single player mode was fun.

Newest CoD
Borderlands
Diablo II (Still, I know)
WoW
Starcraft II
MvC3
SSF4
Madden

And that's about it.

Not quite, Team Fortress 2 and Counter Strike (Original and Source) have very active communities. Oh and Killzone 3.

I dont think ive ever jumped into a MP game that was completely dead.

I got a bunch of games after buying it like a week ago. It just became difficult to find games on Mondays, which is kinda odd.

Also, RIDDICK. Pitch Black is the best game mode of all time and nobody plays that game any more.

I tried Armored Core For Answer (360) multiplayer, and I ended up, like, playing with and against 10 of the same people.

All of the FEAR games may as well be dead.

Tried Team Fortress 2 (360) once, a long time ago. Valve, just kill the damn game on the console platforms already.
