Online multiplayer has one use: to occupy half the game so they don't have to make singleplayer as good. or good at all.

Don't like multiplayer at all.

I'm the worst social gamer on Earth. I make my friends watch me or play it. Not doing 2 player. Annoys the shit out of me. Not going online, full of headset goons.

Overall, a big fat NO

Because I, and many other gamers, buy the game for what should be the most important part, the single-player story.
Why should it be the most important part? Some of my best gaming memories are from playing multiplayer games online.

I played Socoms 2 and 3 on the playstation 2, and loved it. I made some great friends, and probably spent more time on that game than any other.

Whilst I do enjoy a good, solid single player story, I don't think that single player should be the be all, end all of gaming.

Because no AI can match up to the thrill of fighting a human enemy. No matter how good an AI is you eventually learn their traits, weaknesses and all so well after a few play thoughs that everything becomes a sinch, even with a game like Left 4 Dead where the AI director is changing things on the fly you still learn their ways eventually.

A human is smart in ways a machine can not be, despite what a few minutes listening to call of duty on live might tell you. Thats why in many ways a single player experience can never come close, at least in reguards to replayablity.

You come across douche bags but thats what the mute button is for.
I have muted at least 100 people on Blur, 50 on MW2 and about 50 others in other games.

OT: I love multiplayer on certain games, like Blur and TimeShift.

Whats ironic is that everyone says 12 year old teabaggers play Halo, I havent muted a single person who was annoying with their headset and even then I havent run into a single child on that game since the release of MW2.

Its like heaven, no children who get annoying, plus its still fun!

I just hate the insults, the bragging and the overall annoyances I hear on PSN....oh well.
