Multiple monitors

I want 3 monitors
So can you either suggest a way to have 3 screens with these
or suggest a good graphics card that I can use to have three screens

For discussion, how many screens do you have? Do you want more? Have you thought about getting more? Etc

Nvidia cards can only support 2 screens, unless you SLI a second card.
I believe some ATI cards can have three, but meh. (Anti ATI person)

I myself have 2 screens, also running off an nvidia card.

2 at work, on an nVidia. It is awesome! I'm not sure about three though...

Nvidia only supports two monitors (unless you have two cards) but if u got Sandy bridge cpu you can plug two monitors into that, so then you can have 4 screens =) Atm I have 2 screens and a hdmi cable I plug in when I do something on my tv.

for multimonitor you do not need too crossfire or SLI because you have one gfx card going for an expensive single cards such as this http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=193_1163&products_id=16024 (radeon have the best multi monitor past 2 screens especially for games) and use an adaptor for one screen or alternatively buy a cheap pci gfx like here http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=193_792&products_id=14009 however you will have to be content with browing the web videos etc, no games.

Your card has three ports, so you can have three screens. One will need to be a TV because the third port is S-Video. Or you can buy a converter port thingy...

But if you want three monitors, get 2 or more graphics cards. But then you would need a better mobo...

I have 2 monitors with dual HD4850s. Both are plugged into the same card because ATI crossfire disables the output of one card (or something like that...). I want to get a better mobo and get three cards and an HD 26inch monitor.

You've come to the easiest solution possible, all this chatter about needing SLI or Crossfire is wrong. Any ATI card from the 5xxx series onward is able to power three seperate displays, while nVidia cards remain unable to power more than two. I use three monitors personally and do so using an SLI setup to achieve this, this is because it allows me to have an SLI focus display then two peripheral monitors that shut off when I load a game. That and I dont like ATI that much.

I was just having trouble finding a card that could support 3, then I realised that I was looking at nvidia cards. I might be wanting to play a game across all 3 as I've seen the list of games supported, got no idea what it means by silver or gold though, playing a rts may be interesting as will tf2.
