I have this ability to remember the lyrics to a song even after one play through.
I have the opposite of this. I don't know most of the words to most songs unless I intentionally try to learn them, or unless it's a song I've listened to MANY times. Half the time it's almost as if my mind focuses more on the aesthetic sound of the words they are saying than on the actual content and meaning of what they say.
On the other hand, I actually have a pretty good ability to recognize music that I have heard in a movie or from some other source. I can often remember what movie it was in, and I'm not just talking about main theme/credits stuff either. I can also do this really well with actors' voices or faces. I can often recognize actors from other movies or tv shows, and remember where I've seen them before. And this isn't hard for popular actors who's names you know. Here I'm talking about actors that I'm not familiar with, that I have only seen once before, or/and were in minor roles. If it weren't for IMDB, I would have thought I was just crazy and thought every body just looked like somebody else, but I would keep checking and I would keep finding out that my hunches were right. Sometimes I would recognize them and tell someone else watching, then we'd think "Naaah, that can't be them. It's not them is it? Noooo." And then I would check, and I was right.
I would have to say that my proudest moment of using this ability was one time when I walked in on my friends watching the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. And I have never seen the movie. One of the characters is an invisible guy. During the short part that I saw, the invisible guy gets some paint out to put on his face so people can see him. And I immediately recognized him! "Hey isn't that the guy from Underworld 2?" My friends were like "WTF?!? How did you recognized him, he's the fucking invisible man? He doesn't even have half is face on yet and you recognized him?" Even I myself was shocked. Just a dab of paint on his chin, maybe a little on his nose, and I knew who he was. It kind of blew me away.
