So I hold several questions for you, The Escapees.

1. Do you agree with the murder of someone who has done wrong. (E.g. Murdered before.)

2. Do you agree with the murder of someone to defend someone from future attacks. (E.g. You find evidence that they're planning to kill someone.

3. Would you be able to kill someone who has done wrong?

last but no leaste 4. Would you be able to kill to save someone elses life.

Let the discussion begin.

-Edit-
I've made question 3&4 very unclear. 3 is linked with 1, 4 is linked with 2. 1&2 means that you do not have to have to kill. However 3&4 is basically the same question however you have to do the kill.

1. Maybe if they killed more than two people on purpose.
2. No.
3. No. Unless it was as in question 1. Then maybe.
4. Yes. Well, maybe not be able to, but I would think it right. Unless the person I would kill is more important than the person I would save.

Hmm, I think I'll just leave it up to myself to make a snap decision if it ever happens, it's way too hard to put down in writing.

1. No
2. Definitely no, that's quite the wrong approach to that. Report it to the police, or try and stop them in other ways, perhaps by appealing to their better nature.
3. This is kind of like number 1... Definitely wrong.
4. This is the only one I would consider. Obviously it would depend on the circumstances, but if someone was about to shoot my friend, I was too far away to stop him by hand, and I had a gun that would kill him If I shot him, then yes, I would kill him. Otherwise I'd just shoot him in the foot and call the police.

I'd hope someone else was around for all of those instances so I could pull out my bystander effect card. Outright murder is of course bad, a somewhat more justified murder I'm still skeptical about.

1: No - I disagree with the death penalty in all circumstances.
2: No - that's what the justice system is for.
3: No - but I'd have no problem reporting them to the police so the justice system could take its course.
4: I'd hope so, but only if the person I have to kill is the person who would be doing the killing, and it was a kind of on the spot 'act now or an innocent person dies' kind of thing. Otherwise it's a matter for the police.

1- Yes.
2- Depends on the circumstances, it's a broad question. Possibly yes.
3- Yes.
4- Depends on the people in question, but yes.

1. Unless i did it myself. No? And if i were to do it myself it still depends on who was murdered.

2. Depends how many. and actually, NO i'd go to the authorities.

3. Depends on the act.

4. Depends the person.

1. Yes, I'm a huge fan of capital punishment. I just wish the system for it wasn't a load of garbage.

2. As a last resort, yes. First, attempts should be made to dissuade the attacker from carrying out their plans.

3. If the person willingly and consciously committed to a life of crime, yes.

4. I wouldn't save a criminal from a cop who's returning fire in a shootout, but yes. Good and neutral people are worth saving.

So I hold several questions for you, The Escapees.

1. Yes so long as you can prove WITHOUT A DOUBT that person is guilty. An eye for an eye works so long as your taking the correct persons eye

2. I think this ones a little sketchy, seeing as wev all said at one point god i could kill him but not really meant it, so unless there coming at you with a knife...

3. If they had harmed someone who was close to me, without a seconds thought. But idk if i could if the person had no connections to me

4. depends whos life im saving

1. No.
2. No. Thank goodness that governments can't do this. "WE SUSPECT YOU MIGHT WANT TO KILL SOMEONE, PREPARE TO DIE CITIZEN!"
3. Yes.
4. Yes, and if it was many, I would want to do it too.

I don't believe killing people is acceptable unless they pose an immediate threat to either your life or that of others. So no to every question but 4.

there is no excuse for murder, except to save the life of another.

however there are times when a little chlorine in the gene pool wouldn't go amiss! :)

1. Do you agree with the murder of someone who has done wrong. No, except in certain cases. If it is the only way to stop them from killing more people, then yes.

2. Do you agree with the murder of someone to defend someone from future attacks. (E.g. You find evidence that they're planning to kill someone. No, because despite evidence, they may change their mind. If they have a gun to someone's head that's different.

3. Would you be able to kill someone who has done wrong? If it was actually in defense of someone, then yes, but I don't think I could Bronson somebody.

4. Would you be able to kill to save someone elses life. Probably yes, but it depends on whether I knew either of the people.

1. From a completely objective point of view, it's wrong. But if someone did murder my family or some shit like that, I would not happily let them go with the aprox 10 years they get in Finland.
2. Surely there are other ways to prevent future murder? If there wasn't I see no problem with this.
3. See 1.
4. If "to be able to" is thought on a practical level, yes I can think of ways to kill people. If moving at a more psychological level, I probably wouldn't kill anyone without them reaaaally giving me a good reason for it. Ofcource, it's hard to say, not having been in a situation where someone kills all my loved ones or something like that.
