Sounds rough, what went wrong?
I didn't mind turning down several jobs to move to another province for work that ended up not happening. I even didn't mind missing out on half a dozen other gigs because my schedule was off by just enough to screw it all up. I also don't mind that I just had to give up a well paying gig because I'm no longer in the city because I left it to move to the province where the work ended up not happening. What finally set me off was the two hard drives failing in one night. The night I was editing the last commercial I was producing for the job I just gave up, which when they crashed was erased forcing me to edit until 6 in the morning to meet the deadline.
If my life had been shifted literally one week back or ahead, everything would have been perfectly in sync. But as is, everyone sabotaged everything else. What makes it such a magnificent example of Murphy's Law is that I can trace everything back to one decision I made a couple weeks after I was laid off from my main job. DAMN YOU DECISION! I CURSE YOU! Throw in a bit of a... shall we say flare up of my somewhat unpleasant psychological state, and the whole thing becomes quite comical in retrospect. If I drew everything out it would be less a web of failure and more a random doodle of sheer lunacy and Epic Failure.
On the plus side, I have a new 2 terabyte mirrored hard drive, so now everything is backed up in five places. Try and beat me now, Murphy, you son of a *****!
[small]Oh God don't try and beat me, I know you'll win.[/small]
