I like what I like. There's some piece in every "kind of music" that'll like. That being said, there may only be one piece in that type.

Since I'm really big into music, I listen to just about everything, except pop, country, and rap.

I mostly listen to either classical, rock/metal, or jazz.

I don't like modern music. Like, at all. Greatly prefer 19th-century Romantic Period operatic overtures, classic rock stadium anthems, and nutty stuff like Marx Brothers musical numbers and the music of Spike Jones and Tom Lehrer.

What's this "[insert something here] And You" fetish everybody has lately? The content of your OP would actually make a far better thread title than your actual thread title.

There's good and bad music in every genre. I never used to think that when I was growing up, but I've heard enough music now to know it's true.

but most of my collection is based in punk/ska/classic rock, thats just what I like the best.
The jack of all trades is master of none. I man who likes everything has no tastes.

That being said, I don't know how applicable it really is to simple music appreciation.

All kinds... you know whatever sounds good... I mean look at my top 5 bands...<.<
1. Gorillaz...
2. Nirvana...
3. Radiohead...
4. That Handsome Devil...
5. The Butthole Surfers...

I think it's stupid to limit your tastes to one genre... I look for lots of different kinds of music most of which are impossible to classify...<.<

Alt/punk rock and techno/drum&bass mostly, but I'll listen to just about anything.
My favorite bands are Breaking Benjamin and Pendulum. They're the only bands that I've bought the entire discography of.

Nothing special.

Oh my fucking god.

Why are genres seen as a barrier? Who cares what genre a song is as long as it's good? The whole concept of genres seems like a waste of time, because they're so vague and undefined that there's no point in even USING them. >.>

At the moment, I'm listening to alot of Radiohead. I just got the Ok Computer album, it's fuckin' awesome ^^

your saying since I don't hate any particular genre that I'm somehow musically unrefined?

I'm sorry if to you blind hatred of pop, country, or rap or somehow gives you taste, I'd rather be tasteless.

I love Jazz, Classical, Latin and comedic rock. I'm kind of weird.

I tolerate some pop, rock, anything really provided I get a variety of things to listen to.

Redlin does not like rap or country.

I mostly listen to indie with more of a leaning towards indie folk. To me it seems like the only genre with consistently different sounding bands not that I am trying to knock anyone else's tastes.

Currently listening to
-A lot of The Decemberists
-Iron and Wine
-Fleet Foxes
-Andrew Bird

I'd say I listen to everything, but it largely depends on my mood. Either way I'll give every band/artist/whatever a chance before writing them off.

Currently though I haven't been listening to that much music except when I go out for a walk and then it's just a random assortment of stuff.

I saw Miss May I in concert :D

Hmmm, i feel like being more specific :)
I have a pretty brutal music taste, to others who don't listen to it or enjoy it, they think its positively tasteless.

By that, i mean the RAAARGHHH side of metal. Death metal, black metal, melodic death, doom, technical blah blah. Deathcore, you know, all that stuff.
Im very into Dubstep as well, Skrillex is one of my faves. Along with Datsik and Big Chocolate.
Swing and classical are also large up-and-comers in my musical tastes, surfacing in the last few months.
Punk, i've always been big on punk. I could go on lol.
