I was doing rather well during the intro. It was boring as hell, since it was the same fucking arpegggio 50 times. Then the drumming started. Oh god, that was horrible. That guy couldn't keep a beat to save his life. To say nothing of the singing. I can assure you, that guy's throat is going to collapse in 5 years.

Nah, if you have enough breathe support you don't damage your throat.
At least, that's what I've heard.
It does sound rather painful, though.
