Brutal legend?s a fairly obvious one. Tons of good music on that car radio and during the battles in the background.
A somewhat more indirect case though would be how I learned of nightwish: a band I recommend everyone look into immediately. Sample a bit of music from dark passion play onwards as well as before dark passion play, since they did change singers starting with that album and the earlier music was more?. Orchestral I guess you could say. If nothing else listen to Nemo and poet and the pendulum.
I am a big fan of star wars: empire at war. I?ve since lost my copy (both of them? somehow), but while I had it I played the ever-loving shit out of it. At some point though, I got interested in mods (as many pc gamers do). Looking at a video showcasing a mod that puts the executor in the game (the original, not forces of corruption where it is a playable unit), there was a terribly unfitting but still very intriguing song playing. I messaged the person and he told me it was amaranth by nightwish. I currently have legally purchased copies of a large bit of their discography and they remain one of my favorite bands of all time.
The Dishonored version of the drunken sailor is certainly very chilling. It is refreshing to have something so different than what you have heard before (part of the reason I love reel big fish and that one vampire weekend song, ?cousins?, as well as animal alpha, particularly ?FIRE FIRE FIRE?. They are all strangely different yet similar to what I?m used to in a great way.)
Personally though, I prefer the drunken sailor sea shanty. It?s so simple and upbeat and just about sailors dicking around with each-other as they do on long voyages.

Seconded ON BULLETS. Absolutely perfect choice for the trailer and the game given the subject matter.KingsGambit said:- Archive: Bullets [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V6nbFZtxAL4] - From the Cyberpunk 2077 trailer. This song was a perfect choice by CD Project and I can't wait for this game.
- Drunken Whaler [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LlkYz6Il4JM] from Dishonored - At least in the trailers. It literally sends shivers down my spine to hear it. A fusion of grungy rock and a nursery rhyme, I've never heard anything like it before or since, though I'd love to.
