Music in games

So I didn't see anyone post a thread on this but I just watched the newest escapist vid on music in gaming and its a bit ironic to me since I was just telling a friend to get Persona 4 because of its sound track.
So any of you have some fave songs from gaming? When I think of music in gaming i think of Vice city, Persona, Mega-man 2 (You know you love Metal man's theme) and of well.. almost all of the SquareEnix big titles.

Did you search "Soundtracks in Videogames"? There was a thread about them just last week.

But anyway, Final Fantasy pushed the boundaries of what music could be in video games. Even given that, the Mario theme is addictive like the old game as is Castlevania music.

Halo 3 is my personal favorite. It had some low parts, but even those are relatively good. The whole soundtrack was full of emotion and beauty.

Square Enix OSTs are good since I like almost everything Nobou makes. So are Team ICO's OSTs like Shadow of the Colossus. Halo OSTs are only decent for me, some songs are good while others are just things I wouldn't give a crap about. I can't really think of any other good ones off of the top of my head.

I like the halo soundtrack, perhaps halo 3 more than any other even though it is my least favourite game in the series, and the radio stations in fallout 3 are pretty great. Best though...PAC MAN!

Halo Trilogy has the best music, one of the many reasons I like it.
Also mention goes to Bioshock, 30's-50's jazz... excellent.
And Mass Effect for the future vibe sort of feel.

There are others but oh look at me prattling on like a school boy.

I'm not a big fan of the Halo games anymore, but the music is utterly fantastic.

I'm also partial to Dark Hallow from the first Spyro game.

Ive allways like the music of the Devil May Cry games and while i hate Halo 3 i have to admit it has a good soundtrack.
